The stay we had very joys, the people in the staff gave a very homely and warm service. The location is very peaceful, the aroma throughout the corridors was a pleasure. It felt really cosy while I slept and the breakfast was a delight. A perfect Stay for me…cheers the Sumner.

Fantastic location, great breakfast, amazing front desk, biggest room I've ever had in London and 2-3 pubs within a block...several restaurants and cafe's as well. I will certainly be back! Room was so big, we could barely see the tv from the bed. Room had plenty of elective plugs and a safe. Bathroom was tight, but by London standards, it...

Clean and comfortable rooms, nice bathroom. The rate included the breakfast which was very very good. Only one complaint about breakfast they should get an espresso machine because the coffee was like American coffee. Seven minute walk to Marble Arch and Oxford street. Nice restaurants and cafes around the corner of the hotel..

We enjoyed our five days at The Summer hotel in London. The room and bathroom was small by American standards, but has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was adequate but not excellent, but the service was very good. The view from the room left a bit to be desired, but was to be expected. My only wish was...

Near the Marble Arch, a 30 minute walk beside Hyde Park to Victoria Station. Very small boutique hotel, with narrow stairs, a lift for those who need it. Small lounge area with computer for guests, some crisps and tea and coffee if you ask the front desk. Average size rooms, with double windows for sound, and a 3 piece bathroom,...

I read previous reviews and agree about the location and friendly staff. The electrical problem in our room was fixed very promptly. Quicker than many a larger hotel. I liked having a cup of tea in the lounge after returning tired and feet aching. Our room was okay and quiet, shower room a bit basic but everything worked! Breakfast room...

Nicely decorated bedrooms bathroom and communal lounge area. Very good breakfast and large choice. Paid for Deluxe Room and without being able to compare other rooms can only assume deluxe was due to being on ground floor and size of room in proportion to rest of rooms and had two lovely large windows facing the street although would have expected...

The Sumner Hotel is pretty non descript from the outside - just a block in a Georgian Terrace. Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
