Travellers' Choice
Set within the Sea Containers building - originally designed by acclaimed American architect Warren Platner - on London’s South Bank, the hotel boasts 359 guest rooms and suites, Sea Containers restaurant serving up fresh modern cuisine, an award-winning experimental cocktail bar spearheaded by master mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana, and an exclusive rooftop bar with panoramic views over the River Thames. Designed by Design Research Studio under the creative direction of visionary Tom Dixon, Sea Containers London is also home to a maritime-inspired 56-seat cinema and spa. Inspired by the golden age of ocean cruising, a time when exotic ingredients were introduced to the world, and an abundance of fresh local produce was celebrated, the three distinctive food and drink venues each offer a dynamic experience. Flavourful dishes range from nourishing to hearty at Sea Containers Restaurant, which is perfect for an al fresco lunch by the river, sunset cocktails or an atmospheric dinner. Experience innovative cocktails in the award-winning Lyaness, voted as one of the top 50 World’s Best Bars, featuring a signature electric blue seating as well as the original sweeping green marble bar. Take in panoramic views of the London skyline from our rooftop bar 12th Knot, with its beautifully appointed lounge and outdoor terrace for unrivalled views over the River Thames.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. From the moment I checked in to the moment I left, I was made to feel welcomed and valued. The room was incredible, it was very spacious and the view was stunning. The staff were so lovely, they really go the extra mile to make you feel special!

I was shocked to find the patio doesn’t attempt to provide any privacy for guests. So much so that it was uncomfortable to even go out there as you can make eye contact through large gappy holes in the dividing fences, and your overlooked by all rooms above you and I could even see into the next rooms, even their bed! We didn’t even go out there as there was a party next patio and it was noisy, and felt very intrusive. They did refund the ‘upgrade’ cost but I would much rather have booked a river view. The staff were great. Breakfast was lovely. Just a shame that this seemingly simple problem to solve is so overlooked. It did impact my stay, and wouldn’t choose to stay again as it felt misleading.

We stayed in a superior double double with our 12 and 10 year old! Super clean and felt really luxurious! We ate delicious food in layaness and then enjoyed amazing cocktails and service in the 12th knot with fabulous view. Grab and go brekkie was super with fresh juice, pastries and yoghurts with granola and fruit. Very fresh and delicious! Everyone so friendly! Service impecunious.

Stayed here for our anniversary weekend. Looked underwhelming from the outside but as soon as you step inside it's a different story. You get the feeling of opulence and trendy inside and you are treated like royalty. The room was clean and stylish with great views (we were on the 11th floor). The bar was popular and had a buzzing atmosphere but we weren't too keen on the speciality cocktails we tried. Will definitely be staying here next time we're up the big smoke and highly recommend it.
