I stayed 3 nights at this hotel in a female friendly executive room. Check-in & check-out were quick & uneventful. The room was a good size with lovely decor. Plenty of hanging space & shelves. The bathroom was a good size with walk-in shower. A great supply of bathroom products. The King size bed was comfortable & the lighting adequate....

Have stayed here once before, a long time ago. Returned with a friend, using top secret purchase. Had a lovely stay as usual. Check-in and check-out were reasonably quick. You stay here primarily for the location. The hotel is extremely well placed and offers a very convenient base to operate from in central. The property has a nice ambience to...

Stayed for one night at this hotel as part of wedding anniversary trip to London. The location is very central and our room looked straight out at St Paul's Cathedral, which was lovely. The room was spotless, modern and stylish. We didn't really stay in the hotel for long, but I didn't have that feeling that I would choose that...

I stayed at this hotel as a lone female business traveller. It is literally 5 minutes from St Pauls tube station, and within touching distance of St Paul's Cathedral. Check in was smooth and I was kindly upgraded to an Executive Room on the top floor. The room was beautifully clean as was the bathroom. Lovely toiletries, bathrobe, slippers etc....

I should start by saying the hotel itself was fine. Rooms were nice but fairly dark. My issue is actually regarding the aftercare I received from the hotel. A strange concept I know because you don't usually expect to need the hotels services once you leave. However, I inadvertently left my wallet in the room on checkout and the hotel,...

If you are in London for the weekend you want a decent hotel, close to a tube station with bars and restaurants close by for the moments when you just want lunch or a drink and not a trek that’s value for money. This certainly ticked all the boxes. We had a fabulous room, big with floor to ceiling views...

Please ignore any negative reviews. My friend & I visitied the hotel for two nights to celebrate her 21st. Welcoming staff, fantastic rooms of which were spacious. Our complimentary were stocked every day & were even asked if we would like more. Very clean & quiet. Easy access to the tubes, i.e Bank Station (Central Line) & a short walk...

We were not acknowledged on arrival by the doormen. Really slow disorganised registration and delay, we were joining a large group with separate check in so maybe a bit slower than normal? However rooms not ready till after 4pm when we were told 3pm. Sky bar could be stylish if not partly covered with sheet metal and tape on the...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
