Brilliant customer service, beautiful setting (classy!). There is a good variety dessert (all taste good) but I won't recommend the chai latte at all- it's really milky/watery. I recommend the Ferror Rocher bombe.

we spent 4 nights at the hotel. It was one of the best vacations we have ever had. The location is perfect and the hotel is amazing. We enjoyed every moment. For sure we will spend our next vacation in London as this Hotel.

Worth a visit to try out the afternoon tea. Set in the heart of Piccadilly circus just minutes walk from shaftesbury avenue and many bars and restaurants. Staff could not be more welcoming. If you're shopping on or around regent street then highly recommend you stop and relax and take in the luxury.

Had 3 days at the Hotel Cafe Royal. Spent some time in the Oscar Wilde Suite which we all enjoyed very much. Staff excellent and very friendly which creates that special atmosphere. Room was everything we expected and for the places we wanted to visit through the day and in to the evening - the best location for us.

Excellent afternoon in the Oscar Wilde suite. Good quality food as you would expect. Service wonderful. Only caevet is that you are charged an extra £10 for a refill of tea. This is not mentioned in the menu that I could see. It's not so much the financial aspect it's more the sneaky way it's done in my humble opinion....

Right in the heart of the hustle and bustle of central London that you would find such an oasis of luxurious calm and pampering. I visited with my dogs and they accommodated our every need. It was understandable that the dogs were not allowed in the F&B areas with respect to the other clients but we ate well with our...

London has quite a few nice hotels, but one of my absolute favorites is the Cafe Royal. Perfectly located for going out in Soho or shopping in Regent Street, the Cafe Royal is also a very upscale hotel, with great service and nice rooms. It serves nice food, but doesn't have a great restaurant, however as you are in the...

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Combining architectural heritage with contemporary design, Cafe Royal has been reincarnated as a luxury hotel in the heart of London's West End with the elegance of Mayfair to the west and the creativity of Soho to the east. Grand historic areas have been sensitively restored while 160 guestrooms, including 49 suites and six signature suites have been created in a contemporary yet refined style. Our guestrooms start from approximately 35 sq m / 377 sq ft to 212 sq m / 2,281sq ft with every room presenting itself as a suite. Continuing its celebrated legacy, Hotel Cafe Royal offers a selection of restaurants and bars for guests to enjoy. At the heart of the hotel, the Ten Room offers British informal dining all-day, while the Green Bar is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a cocktail. Restored to revive the ornate Louis XVI decor and detailing, the iconic Oscar Wilde Bar (formerly the legendary Grill Room, originally established in 1865), is now the place to enjoy Champagne, cocktails and a light menu of British dishes and live entertainment on select evenings. The Cafe, on Regent Street, revives the European tradition of cafe culture. To complete the experience, the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is an urban retreat in the centre of the capital spanning over 1,200 sq m / 13,000 sq ft featuring a large lap pool, sauna and Hammam/steam room and offering a range of signature treatments. Reflecting a core vision to harmoniously unite the four natural elements of nature, Akasha features four corresponding spaces; lounge/earth, spa/water, gym/fire, yoga/air. ... more   less
