We did not enjoy our stay that much. Extremely cold room, tiny bathroom with toilets very close to the shower. You can hear your neighbour's TV when it's on. We expected more from a 100 pounds-a-night room.

Location was great! Near St. Pancras trains and underground. The rooms are pretty noisy. In itself not a problem, but the staff makes a lot of noise (watching tv, calling etc). Hairs and dust in room.

On arrival there was a gentlemen in the back office who eventually greeted me only to say I had not got a reservation and from my persistence he got someone else who eventually found my booking. After being shown to my room (44) I was surprised to find a freezing cold room with no heating and no working radiators. Not...

Disappointing. They don't serve breakfast since 2014 but it is still offered if you book through the hotel web page which I did. I had to pay for my breakfast outside. They gave us another room at the lower rated Albion House part of the same hotel group. Poor communication with customers.

The only good thing about the Melville is the location. When we arrived, an extremely uninterested receptionist told us to come back at 2pm for check in. When we returned later on, there was another receptionist who was unable to find our booking. After minutes of searching, he still had not found our booking, but he told us we had...

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! The staff were miserable on departure, we says to the person behind the desk "we would like to check out please" in which his reply was "is that it?" Never says anything else to us, we arrived late at night so I think we got stitched with the worst room, There was...

Entrance at end of road so you dont have to cross the road. Plenty of local facilities ie pubs and restruants. Will be back for...

This is a budget price hotel in a great location, but tiny rooms - if there had been 2 of us it would have been awful. The cleanliness is questionable - I found a dirty glass and a used toothbrush over the sink and this really put me off! The bed was clean. You get what you pay for, however!...

Staff friendly Room clean Bed comfy Nice budget hotel that suited my needs, if you're looking for 5 star hotels go stay in one, if you're looking for somewhere to lay your head that is clean and comfy then I'd recommend this place, close to kings cross and st pancreas, (5 mins walk) some nice reasonable resteruants stay here.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
