Hotel Melville is only a few minutes walk from King's Cross and St Pancras stations. Really convenient location for exploring the rest of London. My friend and I stayed for 1 night. The room was small but all we needed for the time we actually spent in the hotel. The bed was really comfy! Even though we were overlooking the...

My husband and myself just spent 2 nights at the Melville, the location is absolutely perfect just a 2 minute walk from Kings Cross station. We stayed in a double bedroom and en-suite the room is perfectly adequate, small but clean. Television, WIFI, tea and coffee facilities and a desk fan as the building is quite warm. We were on...

This was booked for us through my wifes work it is very close to Kings Cross and St Pancreas stations 5 minute walk. We arrived after 8pm and was met at the desk by a gentleman who we had difficulty communicating with and so our checking was not easy we were shown to a room downstairs which was just big...

We stayed for two nights at the Melville and didn't really experience the same issues as some other travellers have mentioned. We arrived at reception and was shown to our room located in their sister hotel the excelsior. We didn't mind this as we were already aware that they own a number of hotels on the street and are all...

Ok, let me start by saying that i’m not a professional hotel reviewer, I’m a humble hotel goer whose experiences are to the extent of staying in some hotel chains such as premier inn. My Fiancé graciously booked this hotel via GroupOn for 98 pounds and we stayed on the 6th and the 7th of February 2017, Although initially we...

Great hotel for an overnight stop. I've used it several times and stayed in a few of the rooms. They were all clean with modern furnishings and decent bathrooms. For the amount I paid its extremely good value. i think its the best of the small hotels around Kings Cross. I'll use it again on my next trip to London.

This was the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in; I wish I had looked at the Facebook page before I had booked. I have worked in hotels, and this was just dire. I emailed the hotel 3 days before arriving, via the website, with a few questions, but never heard back. The first sign of bad hotel management....

I've never written a review for a hotel before but feel compelled to write for this absolutely disgrace of a hotel. We arrived around 7pm and it seems that they just give away rooms at random as the room we booked online was not what we were initially given and then they moved us to another room that was bigger...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
