This hotel is not far from Aldgate east tube station and the Tower of London. Check in was quick and efficient. The room is a little sparse but comfortable with a shower room and no bath. Had a great nights sleep as for some reason the room although close to the elevator was extremely quiet. Nice to have tea and...

Just one minute walk to Aldgate East tube station.....very very convenient location for a quick tube ride into the touristy sites. Overall quite a nice place with a pretty decent restaurant too. Only downside is that it is a bit pricey and no free Wifi as well.

I always think you can't go wrong with an Ibis Hotel. You know that you're going to get a good standard of room, with good staff. This particular hotel is ideally placed for the tube, as Algate East is literally next door, so it's great to get around London from this location. I really like the bar in this hotel...

I stayed here for three nights in a twin room with a friend. Luckily we got quite a good rate. I say luckily because I would have been disappointed if we paid the full rate. The room was OK - passable but that's about it. For some reason we also had an extra trundle bed set up in the room....

We'd previously been happy with hotels in the Ibis chain and this one offered the best value for our required location near to Liverpool Street Station. On the plus side our room was a reasonable size and was clean and comfortable. On the minus side the carpet needed replacing, the bed linen was past its best and the towels were...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
