Clean and friendly hotel. I would definitely return to this place. We were there just for one night but had a breakfast included a price and stuff was really nice to us. Pillows and bathroom were clean and room was big.

Great location. Rooms clean and tidy, with good facilities. Should have requested 2 rooms keys. This was a problem when some of us stayed out later. Also we had a beautiful view overlooking the church gardens

Wonderful team. Bed comfortable. Noise from the street minimal (good double glazing). Shower amazing. Can't comment on breakfast as I always left about 6am before it is ready. Would stay here more if I could.

Myself, my husband and two sons stayed for one night. We got two rooms which were next door to each other on the first floor. Check in was easy and the receptionist was very helpful. Our rooms were very clean, smelt fresh,tea and coffee facilities. Good shower and shower gel/shampoo as a nice gesture. Hairdryer and safe. We didn't want for anything. We over looked the front and although there was traffic, you couldn't hear it much. We had the complimentary breakfast in the morning which was in the cellar. Very clean eating area and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had coffee, orange juice, two large croissants, a hard boiled egg and a yoghurt. Lovely. This hotel tries hard, but it falls short for the price range. On the plus, the hotel is clean, and the location in Shoreditch is great, and the room is kitted out well with an Iron, kettle, safe box and hairdryer. However, the room was like a prison cell. We had a room in the 3rd floor attic level, and it was shockingly dark and small to the point of claustrophobia. There was literally only inches between the bed and the wall, and the two tiny windows were blocked by an external wall, so it felt like night-time all the time. The TV is quite small, and the WiFi was of intermittent quality. But the most annoying thing is the deposit you are expected to pay on check-in, even if you pre-pay the room. A 1st time stay at this hotel very nice rooms and brilliant Tv check in process I understand the deposit policy though don’t hotels these days take the deposit policy into account as part of a booking rather than it taken separately ie as part of a room booking showing I.D etc understandable also didn’t opt for the breakfast so can’t say there all in all a pleasant stay.

Like many other people booking this hotel, I got a message two days prior to arrival saying my card had been declined for pre-authorisation. And like many other people, the card account was fine and should not have been declined. Phoned them to give a different card and they refused, saying they do not accept card details over the phone and that they would only accept via email, even though I had changed card details over the phone for another reason a few weeks earlier. Anyone with half an ounce of intelligence knows that emailing the card number, expiry date and security code is risky and should never be done. It is completely unprofessional for a company to expect you to do this and it makes me wonder if there's some kind of organised routine they go through to so they…

Like you have apprehensions about giving the card details in the mail, we are also obligated not to take the card details over the phone from our merchant outlet providers. It is the hotel policy to validate the card details when you reserve the room and it is mentioned on the website you have made the reservation.
