A very pleasant afternoon tea, sandwiches, cakes and scones all delicious. Staff very attentive and friendly, we were offered extra sandwiches and scones and as many pots of tea as we could drink. The champagne is a must, enjoyed the 90 minutes we spent at The Courthouse Hotel.

Great location in central London. Converted old magistrates court. They maintained some of the original features such as the old cells in the bar area which makes the place quite interesting to visit. Good hotel, slightly overpriced as compared to similar hotels I have stayed at in the area. If you can get a good deal through a booking agent...

The hotel is very well located, right opposite Carnaby Street and just over the road from Liberty's. The majority of the reception staff and concierges were lovely but I had a lot of trouble understanding one of the receptionist's foreign accent. Even when I rang down I couldn't understand what he was saying. The colour scheme of the large reception...

Very expensive hotel for what is offered. I was given upgrade which was at back of hotel, delivery vehicles early morning including emptying bottle bank into truck outside my window. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. £240 for the night, not worth half. Would not go to this hotel again. By the way you have to ask for a quiet room...

I have visited this hotel on a number of occasions and was particularly troubled with my latest visit It was with obvious concern that I and a large number of patrons witnessed staff totally unprepared for a fire alarm activation. These staff were unable to manage or use the fire alarm system, unable to detect the location of the fire...

What a great location. Soho is such a vibrant area, pubs, cafes and eclectic shops and has more soul than the centre of town which is a 5 minute stroll to Oxford St. Our room on the 2nd floor overlooked the intersection of Marleborough and Carnaby St and although very busy our double glazed window kept out any noise below....

We had a one night stop over in London before travelling into the country and we had booked a show in West End, so the location was absolutely perfect. The hotel was within walking distance of Buckinham Palace, Palace of Westminster and Trafalgar Square as well as being only a short walk from the theatres. Upon arrival we were met...

This is my third stay at the Courthouse and by far the worst. You can't beat the location, as it is down the street from my office and in the middle of a bustling area. The staff is great, but maintenance is highly lacking. There were large stains all over the carpet. As someone else noted, random couches are in...

Nice hotel, and a great location for a London stay. When I stayed at this hotel there was some building work being carried out, disruption was however kept to a minimum. I upgraded to a suite which was extremely nice, very impressed with the building and thr shower was good. breakfast is small but well presented. The staff are helpful...

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
