We had an excellent stay at the GNH in early April. My wife and I had reserved a couchette room, the only type available using SPG points, and I was a little concerned that it would be cramped for a six-day stay. When we arrived, we asked if an upgrade was available and were kindly given a King Couchette room,...

I stayed in this hotel whilst passing through London to see the Hockney exhibition at the Tate, although finding reception was a trifle confusing (hint: turn right not left) the staff were pleasant, we had couple of credit card machine issues but overall it was efficient, I had a room with a large bed and large mirror, I don't expect...

The Great Northern Hotel was the first thing my family noticed when we arrived four years ago at King's Cross Station on our first visit to London. On our most recent trip this past March, my wife and I decided to finally give it a try since it was only the two of us. We opted for a Cubitt Room....

Thank you so much for such a nice review. I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us; a lot of effort has been put in to the design of the rooms and the architecture of the hotel. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Best regards, Benedict Eccles-Williams Director of Rooms

The GNH is a really nice hotel, if you know what you are booking. If you book it without knowing about the hotel, you may well hate it. The GNH is the very definition of a boutique hotel. It has relatively few rooms (90ish) and they are all very small. Tiny in fact (even the largest "Cubitt" room is small.)...

I reviewed the Great Northern in Dec 2016 ['I'm a fan' – and said why … because everything was, as usual, √√√ √√√ ] I stayed in the Great Northern again this week – and am still very much indeed a fan but a fan who had a shock – 100% my fault rather than the Great Northern's. Without particularly...

Beautiful hotel with stunning design executed with deep attention to detail. Staff were very good and the restaurant was excellent for dinner. The guest room (which was not the cheapest category) was small but beautifully appointed and comfortable. Could have done with a little more storage space. I booked through SPG well in advance and had requested a late check...

Thank you very much for your feedback. I am very happy to see that on the whole you enjoyed your stay with us, and had the opportunity to experience our award winning restaurant, Plum + Spilt Milk. Regarding the late check-out, I can only apologise for the inconvenience and will be contacting SPG to make sure that this doesn't happen...

The location is just great, just above King's Cross and St. Pancreas station. The pantry at every floor is a very good idea and the bed is just so comfortable. The menu at the restaurant need some uplift though. It was unchanged in the last 6 months. Perhaps they should have a daily special. The staff at reception is very...

A smaller hotel, right next to King's Cross, was very comfortable for a couple of night's stay. The rooms are quite small but very well appointed and the bathroom was very upscale. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful although the lobby area is very small and got crowded quite easily. But the main thing about this hotel...

This was my second and final stay at this property. I left disappointed, praying for just a few simple things to make my stay comfortable and rewarding. More space in the tiny, cramped "upgraded" room. My24 early arrival honored, not cancelled at the last minute. Bottled water. An iron and board that worked. Tea/coffee facilities in the room, not the...

Thank you for your feedback and so sorry for your disappointment. I am sorry that you did not enjoy our complimentary Pantries. They usually prove very popular with guests, but I can completely understand the desire not to leave your room. It is for this reason that every room comes with a Nespresso coffee machine. Regarding the US socket, while...

One of London's finest luxury hotels just 25 metres from Eurostar at St Pancras International and actually within Kings Cross Station, offering a 24 hour front desk, free 500mb Wi-Fi and a complimentary comprehensive in-room entertainment package. Befitting the GNH's rich architectural heritage, the hotel's bedrooms have been sensitively restored with a design that exudes elegance and grace. Free from unnecessary clutter, the rooms are expertly proportioned, with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light through large 'six-over-six' slash windows. Walls, floors, ceilings and windows are acoustically lined, creating a peaceful cocoon. The mechanical and electrically systems are state of the art, furniture is bespoke designed and hand crafted by Italian and British artisans, and only the very best fixtures and fittings have been used - Loewe LCD HD televisions, top of the range Hypnos beds and Lefroy Brooks bathroom furniture. The hotel is home to one of London's finest destination restaurants, Plum + Spilt Milk, which is overseen by Michelin star winning chef, Mark Sargeant, a protégé of Gordon Ramsey.
