I visited with a group of friends for a pre-Christmas Sunday lunch. The food was lovely and the portions are huge (he child's portion was large enough)! All was well cooked and tasty. And they even did a takeaway for me to take to my partner in hospital. The Forester is a Fuller's pub which is normally a sign of...

As a family of 4 visiting London on a budget The Forester was a great find. The room we shared was clean, roomy and had everything you could wish for. Well may be a bigger TV for the children. The pub itself is warm and friendly with a number of real ales on offer. Even though last orders is 12...

This is my fourth review of the pub, this time it's about just having a pint. It's not cheap but it's a good pub. A few years ago it was just about dead. Even on a weekend there were very few customers and no atmosphere. Dean [very friendly and efficient landlord] has turned it round completely and now your lucky...

Visited on Sunday 9th October, didn't have a booking and many tables reserved. Carvery is served 12-6 and we arrived about 1.30. Only 2 of us and we got a table to use until 3pm when reserved. Food was outstanding, portions as large as you want, very generous with meats, we had beef, turkey and lamb and a giant Yorkshire....

Came to the Forester the other night after hearing (from a picky eater) about a great Thai restaurant inside the pub. The staff were attentive and the food was fresh and tasty. I had the tamarind duck which was cooked perfectly. Also if you go between 6-8pm they have happy hour - 2 for 1 on cocktails!

Took my kids for a meal and it was lovely. terrific service and the food was well priced and very tasty! My daughter had a massive plate from the buffet for only £4. And my Pad Thai was excellent. I didn't stay at the hotel so cannot comment on that, but the restaurant was really good

Nice to find a pub locally which keeps in with the 'local' tradition in some ways - big fireplace, chunky wooden furniture, massive bar area, not too cramped. Been here a couple of times and it's a nice place to be, events on all the week, great carvery dinner as well.

Had a lovely stay here . Staff were all friendly and helpful, sunny beer garden and the room was spacious and light. Good choice at breakfast, I didn't have the Sunday carvery as I had other plans but it looked excellent! I would definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere affordable to stay in this part of London, you're after...

I have stayed in Foresters a few times now. Its an ideal location for me as I have family nearby. After my last recent visit, 2 nights b/b, I have decided I will never stay there again. The two main issues I have with Foresters are the breakfast and the coded system to get to the rooms. Breakfast was always...
