Although living on the outskirts of London we decided to stay in town for our anniversary. The Dorset Square Hotel was the perfect choice. It is away from the hustle and bustle of say Piccadilly and Oxford Street but still central enough - in between Baker Street & Marylebone Stations - to make it very easy to get around town....

The building itself looks unremarkable and the inside area is poky. However the location between Baker Street and Marylebone is excellent for travelling inside London and very close for Heathrow Express. I had a very warm welcome and a good time at the bar. The room was very clean and well maintained although very small. The interior is very tasteful...

This hotel is a little Gem in London. Ok so the rooms are on the tiny side and the public areas are not huge, but the service is good, the rooms are clean and immaculate and the breakfast in the subterrain restaurant is just sooooo good. And the whole atmosphere is right out nice. Have stayed twice and we will...

Great location; excellent staff; very comfortable room (on the small side, but then, don't spend much time in the room)... basically, will definitely be back, and highly recommend this hotel. Did not try the restaurant, but the menu did look tempting. Excellent bar staff.

Stayed for the weekend celebrating our dads 70th birthday and the hotel went above and beyond to make the weekend as amazing as it was. What's even better is that without all the treats the staff are simply amazing, all front desk team and Virgil we're on hand at all times. Everything at a firmdale is effortless and we never...

What a find! A beautiful small hotel with impeccable service. We were upgraded from a superior to a deluxe room on arrival and the room prices were very reasonable for London. Gorgeous room with nice little touches. The bed was so comfortable and the layout of the room couldn't have been better. The restaurant and bar were fabulous with great...

A beautiful little hotel with excellent staff, lovely rooms and great area. A few minutes walk from the tube. Not cheap but the little extras are all there. The range of products in the room and the honesty bar are both cute. Cricket themed with very lively wallpaper throughout. Good shower, everything clean as a whistle. If you like boutique...

This hotel is a great find with a really relaxing ambience. The staff were very welcoming and service was excellent throughout our stay. Although our room was lovely and beautifully decorated it was quite small. This did not cause us an issue as we were out and about most of the time. The hotel's location was superb for us. It...

Dorset Square Hotel has a great location - as most of the Firmdale hotels do. This one is great for Baker Street, shopping on Marylebone High St, Selfridges etc. Fun to visit the fabulous exhibits at the Wallace Collection. It has a sweet restaurant & bar called The Potting Shed. Really warm, friendly & professional service. However, I think the...

This is a fantastic property that provides something much different than most large hotels. I have stayed here 5+ times and it always feels like you are staying in a home. The staff is personable and usually marks my return visits with a hand-written note and small gift. These little things make a huge difference. The rooms are small, but...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
