Hostel, cafe & bar were very good, positioned nicely in amongst the hustle & bustle of a vibrant area. A nice flow between the hostel, cafe & bar, with the latter being a good meeting point to meet friends or new. Located in a cool area filled with quirky bars & restaurants, & within a 10 minute walk to Liverpool...

Bed was dirty and dusty. There was staints on the bed, it was disgusting. Kettle was dusty too. Someone came into our room when we just checked in and were changing. I had to hide in the bed comforter half naked because someone was opening our door. Seriously???!!

This hostel is run down, the rooms are extremely loud (we booked a private room, but felt like sleeping in a dorm), and the was NO WARM WATER the next morning, so we couldnt take a shower. When we mentioned this upon check out, the staff just shrugged their shoulders. Check out is at 10:00 AM, which is pretty early...

I have spent three night here with my friend. I think it's a cheap nice place to stay if you 're looking for a short visit of London. The hostel is 10 minutes away from Old Street Underground Station, so it's really easy and quikly get to the center. My shared room was clean and nice. Breakfast was good enough...

Really nice staff, very cute trendy place, as a young 23 year old traveling by herself for the first time in a completely different country I felt right at home here. There was a bit of a mix up on when I was checking out but they helped fix the issue right away. Loved my experience here and it really...

This hostel was nice. It's a ten minute walk to the nearest underground station, which is fine, but based on other reviews I expected it to be right down the street from the hostel. Everyone I met was very friendly. They have a bag locker where you can drop your bags before check in, which was really nice. I would...

I always return to Dictionary, even after trying a number of hostels in London. It's the delightful staff, friendly people and awesome location that really sets it above other hostels. You are always greeted with a smile no matter what time of day or night, a helping hand or some recommendations is only a question away. Located in Shoreditch, a...

Stayed here after not being happy with another hostel. Location was excellent, short walk to station, plus the pubs/clubs. Great kitchen, chill out room downstairs plus a cool bar and terrace. Special shout out to Ellie at the front counter, thank you for being freaking awesome!

I enjoyed my stay at the Dictionary hostel. Shoreditch, where the hostel was located, was a very young and vibrant area. This surrounding area was a very cool place to explore, with lots of new shops and restaurants. The nightlife was also very good. The hostel staff were awesome, very friendly and helpful. The hostel itself wasn't super clean and...

Trendy hostel in nice neighbourhood. Friendly people. But the room was very dusty, the curtain wouldn't close (reported it but nothing happened) and the shower was very bad. The water stopped running.
