Stayed for one night. Quick check in/out. Room small but perfectly formed. Open lounge areas which were very comfortable, & bright. Ideal for relaxing or there are areas for working (boo). Excellent coffee from bar area and friendly staff to help out.

Location was ideal, close to Waterloo Station. Automated check-in was quick and meant we could get into our room early. Room was quiet, dark, cool, clean and comfortable. Loved the huge bed and the mood-coloured rainwater shower. Small issue with the control tablet was quickly sorted. Pleasant atmosphere in the bar area.

Stayed for night this month [June 2015] and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is easy to find, 5-10 minute walk from London Bridge train and tube station. Check in was fast and there was a very helpful lady there to walk you through the electronic check in. The interior of the lobby and all other areas of the...

If you are making that weekend trip to London, staying on Bankside is so much better than being crammed into a dull hotel on the other side of the river in the West End. If clean cool design is your thing, this is your hotel. I love the room concept with the huge bed which takes up half the space....

We have stayed in citizenm London twice now, would recommend for couples as rooms are quite small but the facilities are excellent. The lounge on the ground floor makes up for the small rooms, nice atmosphere at all times

We could not have been happier with this somewhat cheeky-naughty hotel for our business/social stay in London. The price point was most perfect for a fleeting visit to the capital and although the rooms are fairly small, this wasn't an issue for us with an overnight bag. The staff were all on top form and made our stay even more...

We loved this hotel, the room was so comfortable, quite compact but very well planned. Everything we needed was there. We loved the idea of using the tablet to change the mood of the lighting, shut the blinds etc Will be back

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago on a Friday and I have to say you can't beat this hotel for price and location to borough market. The room was £122 for the night that included two free drinks at the bar and free movies in the room. Ok the room is not massive but it is spotless clean...

Only go here for conferences, or business meetings! not as a normal tourist.Although our American family had paid for this, we felt unwelcome at this Hotel and were embarrassed that it was geared up just for working people doing their everyday networking!

Hi Fulhambren Thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts in Trip Advisor. I was deeply sorry to read that you felt unwelcome at the hotel. As a team we set out everyday to make genuine connections with our guests. We believe that whilst fundamentals such as a great nights sleep, a powerful shower and great coffee are non...

I agree with Rosie's review from 2 June. Great hotel if you're a big kid... or staying one night or there's one of you. Not for any longer. Three nights was plenty. It's more like a pod than a room. It isn't a bathroom so much as a plastic enclosure within the already small room. Rooms are very hot. Not...

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
