Have visited a few times now and cannot fault this hotel! The staff are incredibly welcoming and are always eager to help. I love the relaxed atmosphere of this hotel and a great amount of effort has gone into making your stay as low-fuss as possible. The self service check in machines make it so much easier to check in...

My coworkers all swear by CitizenM so I decided to finally try it. It was pretty good, but definitely failed to live up to their hype. All in all, it felt like a sensory overload which would benefit significantly from being toned down. It sort of felt like a W in that way, but the staff wasn't nearly as pretentious....

My partner and I won two free nights for NYE at this hotel. Great atmosphere. Great staff. Modern. Clean. Highly recommend this hotel chain. We have stayed the the CitizenM Amsterdam hotel and comparing the two, the London one is slightly better. The room layout is much better and more roomy.

We had two great nights over New Year at this hotel. Having stayed in citizenM in Glasgow we knew the rooms would be small but this was not a problem for us especially as the bed is just SO comfortable. The staff were really friendly, helpful, courteous. Couldn't have asked for more. The location is good for attractions such as...

Rooms very modern and clean. Lots of modern technology in the room. Very comfortable beds. Room sound proof to which is a bonus as sometimes whilst staying in other hotels you can hear everything going on. Staff friendly and helpful and work hard. Easy access to center of London.

Very unusual concept in that the rooms are small, but they have absolutely everything you could want. The downstairs area is what totally sells this hotel, with well priced drinks (and a nice internal courtyard for smokers) and different zones depending on what kind of mood you were in (e.g. just drinks, working, eating etc.) it all worked very well....

Visited London and we're lucky enough to stumble across this fantastic little hotel. Rooms are compact but fully operated by a Samsung Tab3, from curtains to room colour lighting. Trendy little bar and sitting area with usable tablets. The beer choice is limited, but enjoyable. It's also located well. Lovely walk down the side of the Thames to Westminster Bridge...

After spending our Christmas and new year in Europe, we've spent one day staying at citizenM London. I wish I had booked more than 1 night stay before we head back to Australia! The hotel is perfect for couples. Our room is on the fourth floor with nice garden view. The hotel bed is so comfortable and quiet... XL size!...

Have stayed in citizenm in Glasgow so had a rough idea what to expect. The staff were extremely friendly and the rooms were very clean and they also had a wee fridge in the room which was handy. It also had a bit more space for hanging up your clothes. The breakfast was self service and to be honest wasnt...

We stayed here for New Years Eve and absolutely love this hotel group! As with Amsterdam CitizenM, the staff are amazing and friendly and the hotel is spotless and cozy! The hotel is a short walk from the attractions of London so great for tourists and yet in a quiet location so also great for relaxing. I would have no...

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
