22 York Street is a great place to stay for your London visit. Close to the Baker Street Tube Station, Regents Park, and walking distance to many restaurants and iconic sights, it is my home away from home. Michaela is an excellent manager who tends to every detail and need. At breakfast, one has the opportunity to visit with guests...

We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Our room was larger than most with a canopy bed and interesting furniture. Breakfast around the big table was the best part. We enjoyed talking to our fellow guests. The staff were very helpful and efficient.

What a wonderful find this turned out to be. I tend to choose accommodation by location and this , was just perfect, a few doors away from family, a few minutes walk to Oxford st and Baker st station. The welcome on arrival was warm and friendly and the B&B was clean and so nicely decorated, with two sitting rooms...

As others have said, this place has character, is very well located (No 13 & 139 buses stop v close to ends of road) and the breakfast is great. Found it via the Sawday website which has never disappointed. If I had to be critical I'd say that the place is way too warm. I guess most people prefer a...

3 of us had single rooms - two were very small but quiet, the third was single occupancy of a large double. The staff were terrific, really helpful about dropping bags in and leaving them after check-out. We walked from Euston, which was about 10 minutes. The location was fantastic for us - we were in London to shop and...

I chose 22 York for location, small size and previous reviews. It is a short cab ride from Paddington station connected by train from Heathrow Airport. Again it is another short cab ride to St. Pancras for EuroStar to Paris. For public transportation, Baker Street tube and buses on Baker Street are convenient. I like the friendly staff, breakfast room,...

This is an eclectic place: feels good from the moment you go through the door. We wanted to drop bags off at 10.30 a.m. - No problem they said, and when we did, our room was almost ready, indeed was ready after a coffee in the cosy first floor lounge. We also wanted to leave our bags the following day...

This B&B is value for money given its central location and is a little gem. It is within easy walking distance of the Baker street tube and theatre district. The building has a charm about it which is reflected in the downstairs study (computer access available), first floor residents lounge where tea and coffee is available and in the communal...

I stayed with a friend in a ground-floor twin room and we were both very happy with our stay, especially with the fact that there was no traffic noise at all and the place is full of character. To me, what other people described as "tired" decor is actually quirky and interesting. I've stayed in plenty of B&Bs where the...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
