Arran House is in serious need of an update, and a good clean. The shower curtain in our room (18) looked like it was put up in the '60s, and the windows were grotty, the flower pots full of previous occupants' cigarette butts. The breakfast room is small, so if it's even half full you can expect some awkward bumps....

Great for easy access to London attractions. Room was small and pretty tatty, the only plus side was it was clean and the bedding was clean. If you want a peaceful nights sleep go elsewhere this place is on a street that has sirens blue lights down it every five minutes. If you want to try to block out the...

I was in room 11 on the top floor. En-suite was the size of a large wardriobe. I have never seen a half width shower tray before! Sitting on the toilet risked opening the door out to the rest of the room with your knees which were touching the door. The room décor was much over-painted and cracked woodchip.I'm not sure...

Nice, budget-ish hotel. We stayed in room 11, which had an ensuite bathroom, though it was so small you almost fell over closing the bathroom door. Breakfast was good, and the location very nice - close too several subway stations, and within walking distance of many tourists destinations, not least the British Museum.

Stayed here on a wild night out in London, basic but comfy, larger rooms are a bit random with very small bathrooms so try and go for the smaller occupancy ones if you can. Staff friendly and very helpful even when we were 15mins late checking out !!

Booked twin room. Room was rather small but then again it was only somewhere to sleep so it ticked the box. Woke to find that a bag of nuts i'd left in a carrier had been nibbled into by a mouse, not best chuffed, but i thought well this is London & it's an old building. Went out for day...
