we were given a warm welcome and the location was easy to find and ideal for Theatreland. The room was clean and extremely comfortable (bathroom could do with some updating, a bit tired). Breakfast of good quality and plenty of it. Had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

Rooms at the Staunton Hotel are simple, of a decent size, have been recently redone and the rates were very good for London, about $250 per night, including a full English breakfast. The hotel is small, maybe 10 to 12 rooms and is very quiet (no pubs or restaurants just outside the windows) and the location is great. It's a...

We picked this hotel becaude of the reviews and we weren't dissapointed. The location was very close to Covent Garden and Theatreland. The room was not huge but enough space for a two night stay. the bed was comfortable and we had a room at the back which was very quiet for central London. there is no lift so carrying...

We live in the 2nd floor room 203 for three nights, double and single bed, very well clean up room and bathroom too.The breakfast is perfect. Got help to connect our laptop to wiifi in the room. Walking distance to Oxford St. and Soho, is wonderful for our daughter shopping. AC in the room.

My husband and I stayed here one night as part of our anniversary trip. I was very disappointed in this hotel. The room was not very clean at all. There was a line of dirt on the carpet all the way around the room about two inches out from the wall. Looked like they never vacuumed there. The bathroom was...

Dear Sir, I do apologize but I would like to explain that we did have a flood in the room a few days before you arrived, we temporarily fixed the problem. I do apologize that you were not happy. Thank you, The Manager.

I've just walked into my room and feel like walking out. I'm in room g1 which has a big chunk of ceiling paper missing, lights missing from the holes in the roof, plug socket hanging off and smells damp. I can see wholes in above the bathroom. Not hue cheapest and far from the best!

I stayed as a single person in room 304 on the top floor of the hotel. There is a small lobby before one enters the bedroom; the bedroom itself is a good size, with two armchairs, a large flat-screen TV, a desk, and a very large bed (two large singles joined). There was a separate dressing area, with a good...

Visited the Staunton for just one night when going to the theatre in the West End. The superior room was well appointed and, despite the location on a busy road from the Euston Rd, was surprisingly well sound-proofed. The only downside was breakfast, which was OK but just a bit underwhelming - fruit looked like it had seen better days,...

Me and my friend stayed here for one night to go to the theatre and shopping. We found this hotel to be a nice and welcoming, the reception ladies were very helpful and polite. Our room was on the third floor which would be difficult for older people as it was a long spiral staircase and their was no lift...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
