No lift and the stairs are steep. Full English breakfast included in the price which, this being London, is steep. Like everywhere else in the UK, the staff were from other lands, so weren't much help for local info or tourist advice.

Stayed late October for 2 nights with 3 friends. We therefore had 2 twin rooms. Both rooms were fantastic particulary my room, which was on the top floor and was therefore like the attic room with superb sloping ceilings and views of the rooftops. This room also had a bath, which our friends room on the 2nd floor didnt have....

This was a nightmare hotel, we had ceiling leaks in THREE seperate places - imagine someone opening up 3 taps on your ceiling and water gushing out onto your bed and floor! Worse still, it was toilet water from the room above (some blockage apparently). Whilst I agree that leaks happen, the problem was the service and assistance we received...

Very spacious, clean room with comfortable beds (triple on third floor), but be prepared to carry cases up 3 flights of narrow stairs. Quiet room, great location, and we were especially grateful for the air-conditioning this weekend (29 degree heatwave in October!!). Check-in / check-out quick and easy with polite, helpful staff. The only minor problem in the room was...

5 minutes from the Goodge metro station, in Bloomsbury. The hotel has no lift as it is a Tier 2 heritage building - be prepared to carry your luggage up the circular staircase! We had the triple room which was very spacious, much more so than the 3rd floor double which we also booked for the end of our stay...

Clean, great location and very cheap for central London. Free wi fi and a full English breakfast included. I like it and would stay here again. More like a 3 star B and B or pension type hotel.

We thought this hotel was totally charming and perfect for our needs (just my husband and me). The good: great location, easy access to metro, quiet street, clean, great food - FABULOUS breakfast that is included in the room rate (not a buffet, but restaurant service). The bad: the room and bathroom were small, and there was no elevator (we...

stayed in a twin room in basement, very small room with very tiny bathroom! House keeping do a great job cleaning but the carpets in room and hallway were filthy and badly need to be replaced. Flatscreen tv with plenty of channels and AC which was very welcome considering how warm and stuffy the basement room gets. Windows are double...

This hotel is really a bed and breakfast.. The hallway and carpet need updating and cleaning. The hotel is not suitable for elderly or anyone with limited mobility due to thin winding staircase and lack of a lift. At present the hotel is surrounded by scaffolding and netting so no view from windows. We were given room 302 on the...

we were given a warm welcome and the location was easy to find and ideal for Theatreland. The room was clean and extremely comfortable (bathroom could do with some updating, a bit tired). Breakfast of good quality and plenty of it. Had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
