Upon arrival, reception was manned by a hatted gentleman smoking a cigarette on the doorstep. Smelling strongly of alcohol, he invited me to complete a form with my personal details in exchange for a key. I eventually found the room after negotiating a series of narrow hallways, staircases, ramps and firedoors. Rooms are small and tightly packed; noise insulation is...

The ONLY good thing about this hotel was its location. The Check-in area clean and bright. Person behind desk Sullen. Narrow stairs (no lift) to a clean room. Two single camp beds at different heights. Poorly lit. Toilet and shower behind a sliding door. Shower very very poor , so high up one had to run around shower to catch...

The hotel is 400 yards from St Pancras railway station. Ideal for an early start at St Pancras the next day. The rooms are small; we had a clean ensuite room with television and tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast included for the price of £99.

This is an old hotel that is a very short walk from St Pancras International train station and tube station. The rooms are very small, basic, no phones and there is no elevator to upper floor rooms. Only narrow winding stairs wide enough for one person. If you have a street room there is a gang that hangs out on...

This small hotel is in a pleasant square close to Kings Cross station and St Pancras. The foyer is bright and quite modern but our room was in the basement down some narrow stairs. The staff who were on duty on our arrival us barely spoke but the woman who dealt with our check out was chatty and pleasant. While...

As the lady at the reception summed it up, "a bed, a shower and breakfast". If that is what you are looking for then this is ideal in the heart of London. I booked it for 1 night at £75 over the Internet just 10 days before I went for a course in London. Only a 2 minute walk from...

Stayed overnight before an early trip on the Eurostar. Ideal location and very fair price for a night in London. Room was clean and well presented. I wouldn't stay here for more than one night, it was very small and very loud and you can hear everyone else on the floor. The room represents great location and value for money...

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
