We are spending 3 weeks at this hotel and love the location. We are near the Victoria Coach Station and are taking excursions out of London several times per week. The staff has been very helpful with booking tickets, advising about restaurants and even though...More

I choose the Victoria area because of it's ease to get to both airports. I flew into Heathrow, and out of Gatwick. This area is great for train, tube and coach. With that said, I was on a budget of sorts and thought this hotel...More

Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and
some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

I stayed in a room across the street from the lobby - part of the hotel. Didn't experience any train noise. St. George's Tavern has good food. Very near the hotel around the corner and up the street. Go downstairs to eat - it's noisy and crowded on the ground floor at the bar. My granddaughter and I had dinner there three times in our five days in London. It's that good.

Have had no experience of requesting a room on a higher floor, so can't say on that point. We had a basement room in the main building which was fine, but absolutely no view. Used the hotel as an excellent base during our stay, it was really conveniently situated for us. Il Posto, Italian restaurant, about 10 mins walk away was fantastic.
