The staff at this hotel were the friendliest and most helpful I have encountered. They made we feel welcome and I was looking forward to the stay. I had recently stayed in the Hilton in Portland and enjoyed the stay. The room was tiny. The...More

Stayed here for a few nights in July 2017. The rooms were clean, and the service was as expected for a 3.5 star hotel. Was not given my cookie at check, and had to call and request this.
The bathrooms were a bit small, and...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are

highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
In addition to exercise bikes and treadmills, we have free weights, weight machines, cross-training machines, yoga mats and inflated exercise balls. All with a stellar view of the London skyline!

if you are departing from Windsor & Eton Central to London Paddington, it may be more convenient to take a taxi, especially if you are travelling with luggage. It takes between 25-40 minutes depending on traffic and costs around £20-30 on average. Please be aware that the cabs run on a meter, so your journey could therefore end up costing considerably more. You may wish to consider other cab services that offer a fixed rate.
If you wish to continue your journey by underground/tube, the closest station is Pimlico, which is about a 7-10-minute walk from the Hotel. On exiting the station, head east on Bessborough St toward Drummond Gate. Turn right onto Drummond Gate, then slight right onto Bessborough Gardens. Turn left onto John Islip St for 0.4 miles, and the DoubleTree Westminster will be on your left.
Alternatively, you could travel to London Victoria Station. Bus Routes 507 towards Waterloo and C10 towards Canada Water are both easily accessible. Be sure to alight at Millbank bus stop on Horseferry Road, which is very close to the Hotel.
If you are departing from Windsor & Eton Riverside to London Waterloo, you have the following options:
(a) A taxi from Waterloo Station takes about 5-15 minutes and costs approximately £5-£10, depending on traffic.
(b) Bus 507 departs from Bus Stop A just outside Waterloo towards Victoria Station. Alight at Millbank Bus Stop (the 4th stop from Waterloo), and walk down either Dean Ryle Street (which leads into John Islip St) or Thorney Street, and you will reach the hotel within 2 minutes. The full journey from Waterloo to Millbank takes about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic.
Our dedicated Guest Services team is on hand to provide you with detailed information regarding local pubs, restaurants, tourist attractions and other public transport access points all within easy walking distance of the hotel.
We look forward to welcoming you!
