Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.

We stayed here for 3 nights in December to see the Christmas sights and lights. This hotel couldn't be in a better location. With its Westminster address you're a 15 minute walk to Westminster Abbey, 20 to Big Ben & Parliament and 30 to the London Eye. And plenty of pubs along

I booked the hotel because of it proximity to what I needed in the area. The hotel is very central to everything, yet sitting in a sophisticated area, quite enough not to have to battle tourists. It is spotless, very well ran and has the most attentive and knowledgeable staff.

I am very surprised reading the positive reviews. Did the management change recently? Yes the location is good. Yes the reception staff is friendly. But the rooms are not clean (bins not emptied, shower and sink not cleaned etc.). Note that we had 2 rooms for several days and

Use the app city mapper. It is free. We used it to get everywhere in London. I can't remember the directions but it is pretty simple to walk from there to the hotel

Couldn’t believe how easy it was. And when returning caught the Tube to Waterloo and then the train from Canning Town onto London City Airport. We had 3 large suitcases really easy. Hope this helps.

No shuttle service. I walked everywhere. There are buses near the hotel and cabs in front of the hotel.
