Having two bedrooms and living room allowed family members to get rest without being disturbed by others. Nice having a full-size fridge, stove/oven. Across the street from Liverpool Station was extremely convenient.

I visited London for a work event and made it a long weekend. An awards dinner at the ETC venues opposite 196 Bishopsgate followed by a day in London with my partner and a trip up to the view in the Shard. We arrived at the apartment early and the kindly took our bags in so we could go and...

First time I've used serviced apartments and I'm very impressed. Stayed here on a Saturday night. Lovely apartment, very clean. bed was very comfortable. Apartment was quiet, plenty of space and small courtyard area. Would certainly recommend and worked out cheaper than an equivalent star rated hotel in same vicinity.

We stayed at 196 Bishopsgate just under 1 week and was ideal for what we needed. Location is perfect for those needing to be located in East London. But if not its across the road from the train stations and heaps of buses to take you where you need to go. Our room was big and very clean. The bed...

Happy to see the huge space available: perfect for a corporate trip, or so I thought to myself. But I had asked for a room at the back, I got one at the front. And the front is incedibly noisy even with ear plugs I could hear the people yelling (there is a pub right next to the entrance of...

Booked a studio apartment for 5 day business trip. It was spacious with good kitchen and decent shower and also very quiet, facing towards the back of the building. But that also meant it was completely overlooked by apartments on higher floors which was not so great and I didn't feel comfortable there without the blinds being down. On arrival,...

I have stayed in these apartments numerous times over the past 5 years but I must say they are looking a bit tired now. Firstly the location is great for transport links and local attractions. I stayed for 2 nights this time and was extremely disappointed when I returned back the second day to find neither of my key cards...

Location is excellent. Directly opposite Liverpool Street with links all around London. Rooms are spacious. We stayed in executive apartment, which is very nice and spacious. Would be excellent for a slightly longer stay. Beds are comfortable. Penthouse is very nice too as my friends stayed there. The staff are a bit difficult with letting people who are not on...

This apartment was even better than advertised. It is literally a 2 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station, so you have easy access to the Tube. More important for us, we had an early flight from Stansted Airport on Monday morning, and the Stansted Express leaves early from Liverpool Station on Mondays, so we were able to walk to the...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
