I struggled booking one of my usual central London hotels so had a look at the photos and thought I'd give this one a go...disappointed to report that the photos are nothing at all like the room that was allocated to me. I paid £122.50 for a weekday in September and expected a better standard, i won't be staying here... More

I booked this hotel last minute, and it felt like the last room in London on booking.com It cost me 133.00 for one night. The room was dire. Signs of ancient black mould in the bath, damp hardboard bath sides, a door that looked like it was lined up for the axe scene in 'The Shining'. The bed: I could... More

Careful when booking this one. Free wifi only exists in the lobby. The rooms need some work! Our first room had the window held in place with masking tape. It was on the first floor. Poor mattresses. No soaps shampoo etc. Ceiling peeling, carpet coming up. One towel for the whole room. Not cheap either! Never saw anyone at the... More

Budget hotel between Baker Street and Marlyebone Stations, so from that point Of view the west end is within easy reach. This hotel really does need an overhaul, as it appears that it has been allowed to slide Downwards with regards to any improvements being made. Ok for one night stay, but for longer ??

Music playing until 2.30 am, so loud in our room it was difficult to have a conversation never mind sleep! No breakfast or hot drinks available as they were still clearing up from the party, bathroom was appalling, couldn't use the shower, toilet seat was broken, sink had a 2' gap between basin and pedestal, would never stay here again!

I booked this without looking at the reviews. I'm glad I did because I would have been put off. You pay for what You get. A no frills bed for the night or week. It's in an excellent position for staying in London for whatever reason. A couple of minutes from the tube, Madame Tussauds, Baker Street and a few... More

Grand old terraced house turned into a hotel on a budget. Bathroom must have been fitted by a couple of blind drunk monkeys. On a Friday afternoon. There's no excuse to save £20 on basic stuff like the door jamb (random piece of wood nailed to the side of the door) and then put a nice bathroom floor in.... Location... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
