I stayed at the Montana for one night on business. I had the last room available due to last minute booking. Was lower ground floor and although a small room with two beds was very clean. The bathroom was modern. The bed was very comfortable. Downside was window view to kitchen courtyard but as I said it was the last...

Stayed for one night, and would definitely stay there again. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was small but had everything I needed, including a fridge. Bring your own shampoo etc, a good value, clean hotel.

I have stayed at the Montana Hotel (one in South Kensington area) over 15 times for business and vacations. The family-owned staff, great location, reasonable price, free breakfast, and updated rooms make this Hotel a great choice for singles, couples or families. Every type of shop is right outside the door from pubs to groceries and from fast food to...

When I made my reservation this February, I was promised a comfortable stay. Now that me and my wife have stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, I can safely say that we were not disappointed. Primarily, all the staff was great and very cordial. The rooms were of a good size with a tiny but functional bathroom. Everything was...

I have stayed in Hotel Montana on every trip to London since 1999, and I'd stay nowhere else. It's fantastic value & incredibly convenient for West End and 2 minutes walk to Natural History Museum etc. Everything you need is on the very street, supermarket, chemist, post office, I even broke a heel on a shoe and had it mended...

Stayed 3 nights and found the accommodations were satisfactory for what we needed. Bathroom very, very small but private and useable. Hotel close to anything that you would need, ATMs, food, tube stop, etc. Staff was very helpful in all matters and quickly responded to any questions or problems.

the Montana is very well situated, opposite a tube station, and near the museums. It's a clean, no nonsense hotel. At breakfast, included in the price, you get toast, cereals, fruit, fruit juice, coffee, tea, jam. If you want an egg, it's extra; That doesn't bother me, because I don't want an egg every day. Staff is friendly, you can leave...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
