We stayed at the Montana ie family with 2 teenage children, location ideal for getting about , many sights within walking distance or you can get the hop on hop off tour buses right outside. Staff very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was fine something for each of us and plenty of it. Room was ok for us, family room...

I have stayed in Hotel Montana on every trip to London since 1999, and I'd stay nowhere else. It's fantastic value & incredibly convenient for West End and 2 minutes walk to Natural History Museum etc. Everything you need is on the very street, supermarket, chemist, post office, I even broke a heel on a shoe and had it mended...

Stayed 3 nights and found the accommodations were satisfactory for what we needed. Bathroom very, very small but private and useable. Hotel close to anything that you would need, ATMs, food, tube stop, etc. Staff was very helpful in all matters and quickly responded to any questions or problems.

the Montana is very well situated, opposite a tube station, and near the museums. It's a clean, no nonsense hotel. At breakfast, included in the price, you get toast, cereals, fruit, fruit juice, coffee, tea, jam. If you want an egg, it's extra; That doesn't bother me, because I don't want an egg every day. Staff is friendly, you can leave...

We booked this hotel last minute out of season so got a really low price. The hotel staff were great and friendly. Rooms were very small and very basic. No toiletries so glad I always pack my own! Location is fab for Royal Albert Hall, Science museum etc.

I got an ok deal to this hotel (breakfast included/ non-refundable) and chose it due to pretty good reviews on tripadvisor. The 5-day-experience in this hotel was quite the same what was promised and expected. The location is really good since the hotel is next to Gloucester Road tube station (3 tube lines) and Natural History Museum, Science Museu and...

Very nice hotel yards away from Gloucester Road tube station & in easy walking distance of Knightsbridge (Natural History Museum, Science Museum, V & A, Harrods etc). Nice room, friendly staff. Reasonable continental breakfast, option to upgrade to cooked items. Main drawbacks werre a tiny lift (not easy with cases) and a small bathroom. Otherwise a very good hotel with...

We stayed here as part of a trip to the Royal Albert Hall (which is an easy walk away). What a marvellous surprise to find a hotel as nice as this. Staff were amiable and very helpful, our meal in the (Indian) restaurant was beautifully presented in lovely surroundings with staff who really cared about what they were doing. The...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
