One of the most friendliest hotels I`ve been to in 65 years of travel. Fantastic day and night staff and extremely comfortable and quiet rooms, despite it`s closeness to Madame Tussauds, etc. My room was ideal for the single traveller. From every member of staff during my stay, there was always a broad smile and chat - I love the...

We spent 11 nights at this hotel in London. We had a "junior suite" which gave us a very large room for a London hotel. It was large enough for a king size bed, two night stands, a desk and chair, a large sofa, and a small refrigerator. The bath had recently been redone with new fixtures including a walk...

Stayed here during the recent Ashes Test Match at Lord's. I wanted something relatively inexpensive and within walking distance of the ground and Hotel La Place fit the bill nicely. The hotel is small but very comfortable and in a quite location. The rooms are small but more than adequate unless you spend all your time inside. The bathrooms are...

I don't usually like staying in London in hotels in this price range (the business paying for this recently changed to this hotel) so I was pleasantly surprised. Room had fridge and microwave, and was quiet and bright. I didn't use jacuzzi function on bath but shower etc. all good. Service very friendly indeed, including at breakfast. Yes, a small...

A very British Hotel, rooms are very old fashion. Beds were comfortable. The Hotel was well located and price was reasonable. Breakfast room is small so make sure you get there before the morning crowed. Overall a nice Hotel.

This hotel is located close to baker street station (Madame Tussaud's, Sherlock Holmes Museum). For this it is quite keen. The rooms was really small (as also mentioned in other reviews) but they have to use every square meter. The staff is very friendly and when I had to leave at 5 AM, they prepared breakfast especially for me. Full...

This is a typical small hotel in London: they make use of all available space, but offer service and a good price too. The room was clean and roomy enoough with even a desk. The bathroon was clean with a good shower in the bath. Nothing fancy, but really ok. Breakfast was serviced with a smile and was more than...

We had a "junior suite" which was the size of a normal room so glad we did not go smaller. Room was clean but with dated furnishings and carpets. We overlooked the street but it was surprsingly quiet. Lift to third floor was very small but essential for those struggling with stairs. Breakfast was in the basement which was somewhat...

The place is very quiet and at a 5 minutes walk max from baker Street Metro station. A very welcoming staff, very helpful but ... The room does not quite match the one pictured on the website. This hotel does not deserve a 4* rating. It is at most a 3* one, not to say a 2* My room was...

Stayed 2 nights this week. Lovely room. Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. Quiet setting. Delightful staff who were very helpful including offering me facilities I would expect even if not need. Excellent breakfast cooked to order and served by delightful staff. I shall stay here again within weeks.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
