I stayed for a couple of nights with my partner at the weekend, having found it amongst the results for my hotel search. For the same price as only a half decent (and small) City/West End hotel room, you get an apartment with a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable living/dining room and good sized bedroom. Moments from Ludgate Hill/Embankment (we watched the...

I stayed at the King's Wardrobe for 10 weeks on a business trip. The service was great and the location perfect, as long as you don't mind the peal of the bells from St. Paul's all day on Sunday. I have no complaints. Tip...if it gets warm just ask for a fan.

We stayed at the King’s wardrobe for 3 nights during the eater break and we absolutely loved it.I think it is safe to say that I have found my London abode. The check in was super easy and Mat showed us to our room on the ground floor. We were traveling with a child and had requested for an extra...

My family and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Tobey and his staff. Mindas, the first person we met while walking into the courtyard saw that my son had a horrible bloody nose and led us straight away into our flat. Once the bleeding was stopped we checked in and he was beyond helpful and polite. Milan...

We couldn't have wished for a better location, on a quiet, atmospheric lane surrounded by restaurants, pubs, and cafes, and within walking distance to many major attractions, metro and rail. King's Wardrobe is about a 5-minute walk to Blackfriars metro or rail station; about a 3-minute walk to M&S Paternoster Simply Food (Marks & Spencer's convenience store that sells groceries,...

Stayed here for 1 night but won't be returning. The 2 bedroom apartment was reasonably large but really basic. The furnishings and fittings would be fine for a student hostel but we're far from the standard I would expect for £270 per night. Although the staff were friendly, the owners need to invest. They need to update. This venue could...

This was a very late booking, chosen because of the excellent location. It is within the sound of the bells of St Paul's cathedral and a few minutes walk from Millennium Bridge, but tucked away down a very quiet side street. The apartment itself was clean and spacious - the bed was huge! Lots of wardrobe space. Shower/tub combination. Dishwasher...

We stayed in a ground floor flat which is located just to the left of the elevators & the reception. Our room had 1 king bed & 1 double bed, 2 bathrooms (1 with shower, 1 with bath) The apartment had...

Walking distance to The Globe, the Tate, St Paul's, the South Bank, and other London attractions. Very convenient access to tube and rail transportation to any points within and beyond London. And amazing London fashion shopping on your doorstep, not to mention the super helpful and courteous staff that is available around the clock. The apartments have well equipped kitchens...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
