Stayed here on a rare evening away with my husband. Given a lovely welcome, room clean and well presented. Good local knowledge and able to direct to our venue for the evening via the scenic route. Very quiet and peaceful. Delicious breakfast before our return trip. Would definitely consider if returning to London.

A short walk from the bus stop after a 25 minute ride on the bus from St. Pancras train station. The room was neat and tidy with ver comfy bed. My wife and I were very happy with our choice to stay at Kandara.

I am a regular. I have been staying for 1 to 3 nights at a time at Kandara for 5 years now, every fortnight. I haven't bothered to write a review, partly out of possessiveness. I do now as I feel there is unfair competition with Air BnB, and I care: this family run guesthouse operates to impeccably high standards...

Lovely little guesthouse, immaculately clean, comfortable rooms with own sink, tea and coffee. Shared bathrooms spotless and always available. Great breakfast and lovely staff. Would highly recommend and definitely stay here again next time I'm in London. Good location close to the overground.

Thank you for your lovely review and we look forward to you staying with us again. Our closest station is Canonbury Station on the London Overground Line. This is a confusing name for this new line as it is part of the London Underground network (the tube) and so you can use the Oyster pre-pay card or a travel card...

I took my 10 and 12 year old sons to an Arsenal game and we stayed at Kandara Guest house for two nights. Clean, Comfortable, Friendly and Quiet are the best words to describe Kandara Guest House. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was EXCELLENT. My children want English breakfasts in the US now. Great location. Great value....

My wife, Avril, and our cook, Helen, are both grateful for your lovely comments about our breakfasts. We are lucky to be fairly close to the Arsenal Stadium ("Emirates Stadium") - about 1.5 miles and various bus routes go there from close by our guest house. We hope you will come and stay with us again.

Greeted with a friendly welcome and shown to a cosy single room, I began my 4 night stay at the Kandara. This place is warm, quiet and clean, with easy access from Kings Cross by bus. The breakfast was great and I felt welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again.

Thank you for your lovely reveiw. Yes there are lots of stairs at Kandara as we are located in a 4 storey town house. If this is a problem please discuss with us at the time of enquiry / booking and we may be able to offer a bedroom lower in the house with fewer stairs.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Kandara Guest House, warm, friendly, clean, quiet and a lovely breakfast every day. Very easy to travel to and from with busses passing all the time at Essex road, and easy to change to underground at Angel station. Lots of nice restaurants in Upper Street, and Cambden Passage in walking distance also. We absolutely...

Thank you for your lovely review. Yes buses are very frequent with some routes running 24 hours a day. Our closest station is Canonbury Station - just a few minutes walk.

Spent five comfortable nights August 2016. Quiet street with character. Family operated with decades of experience. Great breakfasts. Plenty of buses into different parts of the city, either from bus stop in Essex Road 200 metres walk or in Southgate Road 300 metres away. Laundromat and supermarket and pharmacy just round the corner. Hardly heard other guests at night. Never...

Thank you for your lovely review. The tube route you mention from Heathrow airport is a good one. From Highbury and Islington you can save a 20 minute walk by taking one of 2 bus routes - 30 or 277. Alternatively, you can change to the London Overground LIne (part of the tube network) and travel 1 station colser to...

Clean bedroom, quiet neighborhood, well prepared breakfast. Location is convenient to reach, but a bit of time needed to reach the real center of London. quite near to Emirates Stadium, so a good choice for Arsenal football fans:) Price acceptable for a place in London
