London is expensive, but this hotel won't break the bank. The location is amazing, with many, many, many restaurants, bars, clubs, theaters on your doorstep. Just check in, walk outside, and enjoy the hippest of central London locations. Just be warned the rooms are very small, barely enough room for you and your luggage. In fact if you have more...

The Z Hotel is ideally placed for the West End and the Theatre world. Very clean and easy to locate the staff are friendly and the 5 to 8 pm cheese and wine for all guests (FOC) is a great idea. Would recommend this hotel.

Located in Soho with so much to see, do, eat and drink this is a great location to stay. The staff were all friendly and courteous. The included cheese and wine daily from 5-8 is a nice touch and they don't skimp out! The Z Cafe (where the cheese and wine are served) is open to the public for a...

Requested 2pm check in as opposed to 3pm as daughter arriving earlier via booking.com. Got a positive confirmation. Daughter arrived and they would not let her check in even though she showed the confirmation. Male receptionist just kept shaking his head and repeated 3pm check in only. However after a phone call this was rectified. They do state that rooms...

We spent 6 nights in The Zed hotel, it is situated near a huge number of theatres, and is an easy walk to many of the tourist points of interest. We had booked a queen room and we were upgraded to a very comfortable apartment, which was comprised of rooms on 3 levels. The only problem was the unavoidable street...

The rooms are small. Really, really, REALLY small. That being said, the hotel is a good find. Their website does mention that the rooms are compact. Reading that on Trip Advisor reviews is one thing, seeing it with your own eyes quite another. But you have everything you need in these compact rooms. The hotel is centrally located in Soho,...

Staff are lovely, free cheese and wine between 5-8pm is a pukka touch. Rooms are small but they're done to a very high spec with a full HD TV to use too! Bathroom screens are slightly awkward if you're staying at this hotel with a friend or relative but it's no big deal! I would definitely stay here again!

I wanted something that would be right in the centre of London, not too expensive and modern. I was recommended the Z Hotel by a work colleague who's only criticism was the size of the rooms. And by heck the rooms are small (we were in room #222). However, it still ticked all the boxes of a central hotel. It...

I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was for our room - it really is a great location! We loved staying here, it was right by the theatre showing 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' if that helps anyone (we were actually visiting another theatre but it would be an extremely convenient place to go if you were watching that...

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
