Pleasant and comfortable hotel, close to Gloucester Road and Earls Court Underground stations. The usual good quality Mercure Privilege Room. Bar area was pleasant and the breakfast was of a good quality. Check-in/out very efficient. Would stay again if I was looking for a West End location

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

This hotel punches well above its weight. It’s like they took my list of things that really annoy me about hotels and made sure none of them were present. I was incredibly impressed with this hotel. Firstly, it’s not silly money for the location. That got me there in the first place and it exceeded my expectations in every respect....

In town for a weekend break. Good location 5 mins walk from Earl's Court station. Royal Albert hall is in walking distance. Very pleasant and helpful staff, good breakfast. Only one problem, which I had seen on other comments, we were on top floor and could not cool the room down despite having ac on permanently. You really need to...

We stayed in this hotel for two days and for two days the hot air didn't work at all (we are in winter, the room was very cold ! I think the breakfast is too expensive for the service they have. I won't come here anymore!

Stayed here one night. Couldn't fault it at all. Stylish decor, comfy beds and friendly staff. Perfect location for a stay in the West End. They even allowed us to check in to our room 3 hours early. Surprisingly, the contents of the mini bar were free which is very rare...

I stayed Thursday 10th February at the Mercure London Kensington Hotel, having booked the cheapest “small comfy room.” Room 312 was indeed small, but I was fully aware of this. What I did not anticipate was a broken window frame letting in the wind on one of the coldest nights of the year. I went to the very helpful receptionist,...

Can't say am overly impressed by Mercure Kensington. Rooms are tiny. Lying on the bed my feet nearly touch other side of the room! Granted I'm 6ft5in (195cm) but come on. Think I'll go back to staying at Travelodge.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
