Me and my partner booked this hotel when we decided to go to winter wonderland and wanted to get a bed for the night that wouldn't be too expensive. When we got to the hotel the receptionist demanded a 20 pounds deposit that was not advertised at all during our booking, and when we asked when we would get it...

Reasonable price for London and for the three of us. However, the receptionist was far from friendly, the room far from comfortable and the facilities shabby and the breakfast a poor option. If you are tall. Do not stay here. We had a triple room which was split over 2 levels, a bit cooky actually but the single was downstairs...

I was disappointed because did not find any mouse or bug. the room was old, small and worn-out but clean; the bed comfy; the location in the city excellent. the price for the value is ok - it's a 2-star hotel after all. note for the sensitive travellers - walls are really thin, so, in case you sleep very sensitively,...

Unless you are a particularly poor student from one of the worse off african countries then i would suggest you just give this place a miss.. Is hard to even begin to describe what a mistake place it is.. From the 5m2 rooms which are filthy with non closing windows no heating and broken curtains to the dazed and confused...

So starting with the positives... the room was a reasonable price for London, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was disappointed on arrival, reception staff were miserable and didn't seem to know what they were doing (saying that we had to pay a £20 deposit which we weren't told about, then when we checked out it...

Checked into this hotel for a night and it is easily the worst experience that we have had for a hotel. Check-in time was 1 PM, we arrived 45 minutes early after an early morning flight from Edinburgh. With all our baggage, repeated requests for a slightly early check-in met with disdain from the guy at the reception. The staff...

If you need a place to stay, I strongly recommend this hotel. Access to the City Centre through Queensway or Nothing Hall station. Staff is kind and helpful. The spaces are quite good. Unfortunately Wi-Fi does not reach the rooms on the second and third floor.

We arrived early in the morning and the host was not in the best mood (unfortunately), it didn't have a lift and neither a hand from the host so we had to go up to the 4 floor carrying our luggage! Very exausting...The room was also with a smell of a cleaning product... a bit stronger than expected! But I...

I booked to stay in this hotel for 2 nights for work. I got to the hotel and it took over an hour just to check in! This was because id booked online, and the receptionist said the rooms hadn't been paid for. Even though my company had rung the hotel the week before and paid over the phone. I...

The location is good. The hotel is run down and dated - the window wouldn't close which was a security issue as we were on the ground floor. The curtains were stuck so we couldn't close them. The en-suite shower was good. Breakfast was adequate, but there were not enough tables to seat everyone. Only one very thin pillow provided...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
