We felt we got good value at £69 for a double room for the night but the hotel is a bit rough around the edges inside, if nice looking on the outside. Staff were friendly, bed was pretty comfortable and room came with tea, coffee, biscuits and a kettle - not something you seem to get at a lot of...

Dear Customer, thank you for your feedback. Only one star though seems a bit harsh considering that as you mentioned, the room was immaculate, shower was amazing and staff very friendly and polite.....We checked and double checked; I believe my assistant even talked to you and confirmed that unfortunately your booking was indeed for a Twin room. Not sure what...

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, 2 adults and 3 teenage children, Sunday to Wednesday. We had 2 rooms beside each other which was very convenient. The rooms were very clean and modern and a decent size for London. All staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. There was a continental breakfast included which was also very...

Bought a groupon so got a good price for a convenient hotel. Just round the corner from Gloucester Road Tube Station but also serviced by some handy busses which appeals to a couple of OAPs with bus passes. Have been in larger rooms, with bigger TVs and only 1 seat but a very comfortable queen size bed - en-suite and...

Great hotel in a great location. Close to underground and many food places. Very quiet and clean hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Let us leave our bags and collect then later in the evening after we had checked out. The beds were comfy and the shower and bathroom were of good quality. Also had a nice continental breakfast....

We must be from another planet!! We found the hotel to be really good and will definitely stay there again. The room was spotless, having a groupon deal was a bonus, prices great for a hotel in Kensington. Received a nice bottle of wine, As it says on the tin, definitely only a few mins walk to tube station. The...

I'll start with the positive. This hotel had a great staff and were friendly and helpful. The hotel is also in a great location, with very close access to the Tube, restaurants, pubs and groceries. Now to the bad. The room that we had was not particularly clean, especially in the bathroom. The shower area was rusted, the door was...

Dear Guest, I am so sorry, really I am. If there is one thing I care about the most is cleanliness. There may be not much we can do about other stuff, but surely this is one area that we can be good at. I promise you that our housekeeping department works really hard. The "rust" around the shower tray...

We stayed for 2 nights just before Christmas as we were attending a concert at the Albert Hall, going to the Kensington museums and a theater performance near Covent Garden. The proximity to the first two venues on foot as well as the Gloucester Road tube about 3 minutes away taking you directly on the Piccadilly line to theatreland meant...

I decided to book this hotel due to the good reviews it received, looking back I wish I had read the bad reviews. My mum and I stayed for 5 nights. Dear Guest, thank you very much for taking the time to leave these feedbacks. I am sorry we could not meet your expectations. Choosing a mattress is such a personal thing. Some people like it quite firm, other prefer it soft. When we bought ours, we went in the middle well knowing that, yes here it comes, and unfortunately "we...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
