Stayed overnight for a theatre trip with my daughter. The deluxe room was perfect. They even provided a selection of sweets for her. The staff on reception were extremely polite and helpful. The beds were probably the best of any hotel ive stayed in, and the breakfast excellent. I couldn't fault this hotel in any way, and wouldn't hesitate to...

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your faultless post. With the Apollo and Victoria Palace theatres just across the street, The Grosvenor is an ideal choice for theatregoers. Our Hypnos beds with mattress toppers for extra comfort ensure a good night's sleep and an excellent breakfast certainly sets you up for the day. I’m thrilled that my team looked after you and...

Booked for myself and my husband, unfortunately my daughters plans changed and the hotel accommodated this by making up the settee to a bed. We arrived early expecting to leave our bags, however the room was ready. Check in was speedy and efficient. Hotel lobby is impressive, as was the whole hotel. Our room was loverly, great wifi, all very...

Well where do I start. A friend and myself stayed overnight in London and we decided this hotel was in close proximity to Wicked and so it was booked. Never in a million years did we expect the little touches that said it all. It was my friends birthday, we dropped our luggage off before checking in and were pleasantly...

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your amazing post and five star review. I really enjoyed reading your comments and know that my amazing team will feel the same. You could not get a more convenient hotel for the Victoria Palace and Apollo theatres which are just a stone's throw away. It is the personal touches and attention to detail that make...

Unrushed afternoon tea served in a beautiful room. Tables are set with relaxing armchairs and settees. Selections of sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jams and tiny fancy cakes. Dress is casual and staff are very hard working and there is no rush for your table to be taken by another sitting, therefore a very relaxing experience.

Located on top of Victoria station, close to all tourist location in central London and Tube and Bus terminus. Close to Theatre and if you want to be at KONNECT on Saturday night. Victorian atmosphere- especially lobby, look for historic sign in front of lift lobby Room size, room service - Good, nothing exceptional Appropriate for Business and short vocation

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your post. The Grosvenor offers a location that is second to none with easy access to the mainline, underground and bus terminals just steps away along with many tourist attractions within walking distance. We were going to a show nearby so the location was perfect. The hotel could not be faulted. The room was very spacious and clean and despite the location was surprisingly quiet. Our shower is best described as eccentric but we mastered it in the end! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Champagne and Cocktail Bar was very...

I have stayed here before and had a decent room and great service.....this time, no such luck, they put me in a "wing room" that was about the size of a broom closet with a single twin bed that was amazingly uncomfortable! Never again....

Dear Reviewer, Thanks for your post. I was really disappointed to read your comments, especially as you have stayed with us before. Due to the age of our building we have different shaped and sized rooms with our Standard single rooms being our smallest and our Deluxe and Executive our largest rooms. Should you decide to give us another chance,...

The Grosvenor is really charming and well renovated, with an impressive reception and overall Victorian-British atmosphere (it was actually the first London Hotel to have an elevator in 1861, 40 years before the end of Victoria and her era). Rooms are nice but the single rooms are quite small and bathrooms even smaller ( I cannot imagine myself if were...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
