Booked a splendid garden room for three nights. Large room exactly like the photograph on the web site. Large bathroom with separate shower and luxury amenities by Asprey (Purple Water). The room was quiet, the bed very comfortable and made up with luxury linens. For US travelers, note there is an outlet in the room that you can plug your stuff...

I have reviewed The Goring before and my last review was favourable. Here we are again after a further visit. My wife and I stayed for three nights in late October 2015. The key to our Goring experience was our sense of being at home but in an luxurious environment. It is traditional and elegant. The bedroom and bathroom were beautifully appointed...the decor, flowers, lighting, heated bathroom floor, incredibly comfortable bed...I could go on. The service was impeccable. The lounge and bar were lively, warm (friendly) and acoustics were great. The food...

When Prince William married Kate Middleton, the Royals co-opted the whole hotel for a week ! A good choice for them..and for you. It's a 100 plus room hotel still owned by the Goring family. In a town where traditional British charm is fading, this hotel preserves it on all fronts. Be it the doorman in striped pants and a...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
