I have stayed at the Goring many times over the last 15 years or so but it never ceases to surprise me. I recently treated myself to a weekend there and caught up with special friends in London. You are treated like such a special person from the moment I checked in to when I left. Everything was perfect including...

Booked a 3 course meal and a glass of champagne which cost £49 per person. The food was excellent . Each course well presented and great taste. Staff excellent , friendly and polite. Really enjoyed the evening and made us feel special. Although we had a different menu as we had a deal, the courses were still on the normal...

The staff are charming, welcoming and somehow know your name. I enjoyed afternoon tea alone and felt very much at home in the lounge/bar. On returning after an evening out we were easily able to get a drink. The breakfast was slightly predictable - it lacked the 'wow' factor Rooms very good, although another time I would ask for a...

Had a wonderful stay at the Goring. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were attentive and friendly without exception. We had a king room which was very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. The handwritten welcome card in our room was a nice touch. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and I can't wait to return.

we visited the Goring for two nights in February , we travelled to Victoria tube and found the hotel within three minutes easy walk,we were met by the bowler hatted doormen and a footmen in red livery , they whipped our baggage away and directed us to the reception in the foyer , we were checked in by a very...

We stayed at The Goring last summer for an event at the Palace nearby. From start to finish, staff were warm, inviting and attentive. The hotel is utterly charming and thankfully lacks that hectic international hotel feel you might experience at some of the larger hotels in Mayfair. I couldn't fault this charming hotel.

This is really a beautiful hotel, but it seems to need to raise its game. Many of the services were a bit slow, had to wait a couple days to have a blazer cleaned, for example. The bar is nice, the location is excellent. The rooms are small... No minibar...

Truly outstanding time over Christmas at the Goring. We stayed 5 days. Location was ideal. Hotel decorations lovely. Staff was perfect. The proper teas...well, were very proper. Can't say enough about our stay. From a very earlier arrival greeting with tea while we awaited our room, to the fab doormen, and the front desk smiles and warmth. We stayed in...

Service was great, the rooms were ok. The location is awesome. I feel like the flaws in the room were off-set by the amazing service provided by the concierge team. They really are the best in the business

I visited the Goring for an afternoon tea as part of a girls' day out in London - we'd been to several of the recommended London teas before, but The Goring is now our favorite, It's perfect if you're looking for a 'royal' tea as the decor in the lounge is stunning. Definitely try and snag a seat by the...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
