We stayed one and two separate and enjoyable nights in April and May in two different rooms - one regular 2-double and a double suite. The second floor suite on the front of the hotel was unfortunately affected by noise from the busy street and with no air-conditioning, closing windows results in a stuffy room. The staff had, without prompting,...

Very good hotel with friendly staff. Rooms a little small - double I had at top of building very quiet, suited me by myself, would have been a bit of a squeeze for two, especially the bathroom which was very small, although had everything you need. Plenty of toiletries and towels. Bedroom very clean and thoroughly cleaned daily. Bathroom could...

Excellently run establishment. Immaculate rooms, some a bit small, but on balance you get a great product. Of all the small hotels in Pimlico, this by far is the best one in terms of quality of service and accommodation.

Overall a nice hotel with good breakfast. Would not be a 4 star hotel according to Danish standard, but it is definitely in the good end of the London standard. There is no noise, neither from the street or in the hall ways. Room size was ok. Neither big or small. The bathroom was tiny and would only allow one...

Stayed here the last week in April 2013. I chose this hotel based on it rating fairly high in the tripadvisor reviews but not being exorbitantly overpriced. As has been mentioned it's the end two houses of a row of townhouses that have been joined together so it's not a big hotel but it's modern in its fitout. My room...

The Windermere is typical of many other hotels in the area of Pimlico. It was two Victorian row houses knocked int one unit. The rooms are very small but very clean and modernized. Our small bathroom was all granite, marble and thick glass with expensive looking fixtures. The elavator is new and works well but is very small. Our top...

Dear Don071 Greetings from London! Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I hope you are well. I remember you very well. Indeed the weather was rather unusual during your visit, so I am pleased that you left us with fond memories. I think your tip to future travellers about taxis is a very good one. Taxis...

Having stayed at The Windermere Hotel twice in the past nine months and having received excellent service in every respect, this hotel was my undoubted choice for this London visit (9-13/4/2013) too. I did not live to regret it: yet again The Windermere has upheld and enhanced its excellent reputation! The room (No 24) was perfectly adequate for a single...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
