First thing, take your own shampoo etc. The only thing the hotel provides is small packets of solid soap. The hot water was plentiful though. My room on the 6th floor was ludicrously warm. No wifi in the room, old CRT TV, with a slim selection of channels, skinny towels. No hairdryer. Everything about this place screams budget hotel. I'm...

I made the on line booking with tavistock hotel and phoned the customer services to follow up with my booking, quoting my booking number and yet, I was told that they do not have any record of my booking. This is unacceptable as my guests were arriving the next day. Please make sure that the people that man the phone...

We have stayed in this hotel 2 days in September. We didn't book this hotel ourselves. After 1 horrible hour in the hotel we have booked over our agency, they moved us to this hotel. The rooms were just fine for a short trip, WIFI was for free, but a bit annoying to always get a code at the reception. Breakfast...

We had room 207 on the second floor at the front. The room was very warm but clean and the beds were very comfortable. We heard the noise on the street but were so shattered after a day exploring London that we had no trouble sleeping. The bathroom was clean with a great shower and plenty of hot water however...

I have stayed many times at the Tavistock....The accommodation is basic although some rooms have been recently renovated and are so more comfortable. The breakfast are buffet style eat as much as you like and consists of continental, full English, a range of cereals and smoked haddock....Grapefruit and orange segments are tinned. The staff are generally ok and as you...

Well you get what you pay for and I doubt you would get better value in central London. The room was large and clean, a little scuffed around the edges and the bed was not particularly comfortable but what do you expect for less than £80? Good breakfast choice and as it was an unlimited buffet, you can eat well....

Our week at the Tavistock was comfortable and basic. The location is perfect and was a joy to have as a base to explore from. The price point is fine, the room was clean and an adequate size and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The downsides to this hotel is it's dated decor in the room and lobby...

Have stayed several times at HOTEL TAVISTOCK - reasonbly priced for the price you pay. Hotel is clean and breakfast is very limited, but again, one considers price paid. Wish to share this experience. On the eve of our departure, I hired a taxi service from the hotel concierge to pick us up at 6 a.m to take us to...

Usually stay at the President - but it was full. Here the room was small and hot, and if I was staying for more than a night would find it cramped. Comfortable bed. Clean. Lifts odd - sometimes they went up and down before finally letting me get to my destination. Breakfast fine - good choice. Didn't use facilities much...

Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
