Went for a 2 night stay for grand daughters christening. Good value package included return trains to Edinburgh. Good central location. Friendly staff, wholesome breakfast. my dear old mum left her bag with passport and money in the restaurant and they phoned straight up to return it. It has a big turn over of guests mainly continental but for such...

I stayed here for 2 nights in December. Reasonably price (for central London). Rooms are basic. The heating was very powerful and made the room so hot that I once had to open the window during the night. Breakfast is pretty good - especially the bacon. I recommend getting the English breakfast option. The hotel is only about 7 minutes...

Just returned from another great stay at the Tavistock. My rating is based on value for money, location, cleanliness, staff friendliness and breakfast and other facilities. Guests should not expect a 5 star luxury hotel for the budget price, but everything you need is provided by this hotel and I have stayed there many times over several years and have...

I stay regularly at this hotel as it is very close to Euston station (5 mins walk) Totally satisfactory for a short stay, the rooms are clean & comfortable, if a little old fashioned. Not five star, but if you just need a bed and a decent breakfast for a very good price, look no further !

Nice clean hotel, staff are friendly. Housekeeping efficient, although the rooms are on the small side, (really small). Breakfast was good, variety a little slim, as there was no cheese! Excellent location of hotel. Close to all the major sites in London. I walked with my daughter to the British Museum, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, and Trafalgar square! Had a...

We stayed at the Tavistock for a week and came to love the place! But as anywhere there are pros and cons, so I'll list a few! Cons - 1. The Internet. There's only free Internet in the lobby, unless you're lucky like me, we got weak signals from level 1. Everyone uses the wifi in the lobby and that...

A very nice hotel, star rating spot on, great location for everything London! Walked to the hotel from kings cross station, about 15 minutes. Russell Square tube station just around the corner. Travelled for a long weekend.and was really pleased with the location. Had a fantastic pre theatre dinner in Hix restaurant Brewer Street Soho.

We stayed early December for 3 nights with a party of 6. Good location ,close to the tube and good bus network. Rooms basic but clean and warm. Just quite a lot of noise from the bowling alley below (room 223, stay at the other side , we got moved). Our room was just above and kept us up to...

The Hotel was nice and clean and the staff on the whole friendly. Rooms small but for the price what you expect. Good location for buses and underground. Break fast fine and plenty off choice. There is a nice Indian Buffet, Greek restaurant nearby also supermarket/ corner shop.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
