This is the 4th visit to this hotel, on my last visit i could see that major work is being done in the foyer and in the bar. As ever, the service we received was second to none and that's why i always choose this hotel; over any other one in the group of hotels.. On my latest visit, i...

This hotel is good if you are on a budget. The twin rooms have beds on wheels which was annoying when trying to get comfortable to fall asleep. The restaurant was fine for breakfast, but it was a little off-putting knowing that after breakfast, the restaurant then serves Indian food.

This was our second stay at the hotel – we like it because of its location and because the offer where you get a meal, in a choice of restaurants, on the first night is excellent value for money by London standards (we had a three course meal in the Bedford Hotel restaurant which was excellent). A negative for us...

Third weekend visit. Basic but adequate. Friendly staff. No mention of the building works on the website (have to go to floor 1 and walk along corridor and down stairs to get to breakfast room - fine for me but what are alternative arrangements for disabled?). Breakfast food is a good offering and reasonable quality for the price but the...

I stayed at Tavistock Hotel for the second time. It's in Bloomsbury, very well located, near Russell Square Station. At the moment, they are refurbishing many areas of the hotel. I hope to see it redecorated! The room was clean. The staff was kind. Free wifi. English breakfast was included.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Unfriendly staff. Breakfast room is inaccessible (not told when booking). Was sat down at breakfast to clean cutlery and used napkins on the sideplates. I've attached a photo of the bathroom which gives an indication of the standard of a double room. Woken up by early morning building works that shake the front of the building (not...

Stayed for a couple of days when in London for work, straight forward hotel, clean basic room with a bath and shower, free evening meal was welcome and breakfast buffet was good. Would stay again next time in in the area.

Within walking distance to central London and Kings' Cross St Pancras this hotel offers nice but basic rooms. Breakfast was also nice but basic and on a busy morning you'll have to be prepared to queue for a while before getting a table. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
