Stayed for one night as I was attending a seminar at King's Place close to King's Cross. If you ever need accomodation in that end of London (or in London at all), then it's a great place. I stayed in a single room, and as always in UK it was very small. But it was clean, there was a small desk and an OK sized bathroom, so basically you don't need more.
My wife and I stayed at the Alhambra Hotel for one night in April 2022, as we had an early trip on Eurostar the following morning. The hotel is perfectly located, just a couple of minutes' walk from St Pancras Station. The Hotel is maintained to a high standard. It is well decorated, spotlessly clean and all staff were friendly and helpful. Even though there were no phones in the room and we stayed in the building across the road, someone kindly knocked on our door at 6.00 am as requested, and extra pillows were supplied when asked for. Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable and we would definitely stay again. Thank you very much.
The Alhambra is a cute hotel located just a half block from Kings Cross train station. It was perfect for our overnight between a long flight and grabbing the train to Paris. The front desk manager was fabulous! More than made up for the small room. And the price couldn't have been better!
My family and I stayed at Alhambra Hotel on a Monday night before catching the Eurostar to Paris the next morning. We also stayed here on the Friday night when we returned. When we stayed on the Monday, we struggled to sleep due to the creaky floorboards in the room above us (our ceiling). The occupants above us were not loud, nor were they running/dancing/jumping- they were just walking and the floorboards creaked. I mentioned this to the receptionist on our checkout early the next morning and they apologised (no need really, not anyones fault- just an old building!) and they moved us to a different room for our stay later in the week. On the Friday, we checked in and went to our new, different room on the top floor. It was perfect! We really needed a peaceful night after spending a few days walking around Paris! Quiet, clean, comfortable… it was spot on. I had a shower the following morning and the facilities were great. Shampoo/body wash and towels provided. Shower was hot and powerful. The staff were all really friendly and chatty, asking my kids if they enjoyed Paris etc. they were also very accommodating and looked after our luggage so that we could spend the morning in London. I would definitely stay again when I’m in London, and would definitely recommend!…
We stayed here the night before Storm Eunice to avoid trying to travel to London on the day. We didn't really know what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. The room had three single beds, a tiny shower and a separate toilet. The wash hand basin was in the bedroom. This might not be convenient for a longer stay but was fine for us. (We were travelling as a family of mother, daughter and granddaughter and needed to check in early at St Pancras for the Eurostar on the Saturday.) The location was ideal, the welcome was friendly and the room was spotless. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Friendly staff, easy and fast check-in/out. Clean room with private bathroom. Noises outside my room very late at night, but this is due to the location near to King's Cross St. Pancras station. Highly recommended!
This nice little hotel is situated directly across from Kings Cross, so for most visitors, it's a mere five minutes walk from the train to the hotel. I prefer to stay around the Kings Cross stroke Bloomsbury area which I have on many occasions as I find it a great base for striking out on the tourist trail, with Kings Cross being handy for the buses and tube. I looked on Trip Advisor and found this nice little hotel, which was very reasonably priced and opted to share toileting facilities, I was not expecting much and after reading some of the reviews on here I began to regret my booking, but I have got to say here and now and without fear of contradiction that this little hotel as far exceeded my expectations. Clean, in fact, spotless so, quiet, friendly staff, no complaints at all. Also, I could have up-rated my room for twenty quid a night extra, but I elected to stick with my original booking. To recap it irks me to say this because I would like to keep this nice little hotel a secret to popularise thus may lead to me having no room at the inn next time I re-book because I would definitely stay here again and I, therefore, award the Alhambra top marks. Nice little hotel that has not disappointed this guest.P.S I'm still here and enjoying it.…
This hotel is very handy for Euston and St Pancras station in central London. We were surprised to be directed to a different building across the street from reception. This basement room was small with a tiny bathroom. On the plus side the bed had lots of places where you could tie restraints to it - this made for a fun evening for us. On the negative side when we went to cool down afterwards we discovered that the shower was nowhere near big enough for two people - in fact we nearly broke the shower as a result of trying to squeeze in together! This was a shame as the hotel is in an excellent position and holds happy memories (apart from the shower).
Only two mins walk from Kings Cross / St Pancras stations, makes this little gem the perfect base to explore London. Extremely clean and looked after. Yes the rooms are a little on the small side. However, if you are out and about exploring all day; all you need is a comfy bed at night. Being a tall lad the single bed was perfect even with my Giraffe proportioned legs. The room was so warm, I had to open the windows at night and turn the heating off. I stayed with an old work friend for three nights, both of us in single rooms. I was on the top floor (Third) and I must admit the stairs could be a challenge for the elderly. I would suggest asking for a round floor room. We arrived 10am and check in is after 13:00. Our luggage was stored until we arrived back at 18:00. We are most surprized to find our bags have been taken to our rooms. No food provided, except snacks available from reception. Not a problem, there is a well known pub chain in St Pancras station which opens at 9am for all day breakfast. Eating out is not a problem, Plenty of small restaurants in the area. Staff very friendly and help full. Turns out the Alhambra as been family owned for the last 45 years. Nothing was too much trouble. Would I go back, too right I will !!!! Far more enjoyable and cost effective than the big boys. We paid £70 per night when ( TL ) wanted £130. Yes there is some traffic noise, but that is to be expected in central London.…
