The hospitality right from being met to the door to breakfast the next day was impeccable and of a high standard. The room was a decent size with all the mod cons expected of a high end luxury hotel but refreshingly surprising and not expected from a family run establishment. Would definitely come and stay here again.

My wife and I stayed here on our first trip to London in December 2016. We arrived earlier than the check in time and Theresa was just lovely. She was very accommodating, she offered us coffee, tea and cake and told us to leave our bags there til later in the afternoon so we could go do some exploring around...

Our room was perfect, comfortable and cozy with a modern bathroom. Attention to detail is the name of the game here and thats what you need for the hustle and bustle of a week of theater in London. Housekeepers were excellent, our room neat as a pin daily. This location was perfect for us to canvas the city neighborhoods and...

So to review what other reviews all say and is true: rooms are small and the breakfast is great. What many reviews don't say, is the management knows how to wring the best out of that space - outlets available, wifi solid, bathroom intelligently put together and clean. The breakfasts are among the best I've encountered. They run a tight...

This was my 5th stay at the Arosfa. When I arrived i was offered cappuccino and cake, luggage was carried up the stairs to Rm 8. I requested this room as it is at the back of the hotel overlooking the garden, very quiet. The room is small, well organized, good for me as I have stayed in it before....

The welcome was lovely and friendly, the hotel clean and quiet, my single room was smal and comfortable ...Owner/manager was very pleasant. We didn't eat at the hotel as we had a lot to cram in and wanted to try a few restaurants out, but I would imagine the food would be fine, room service was a option as required.

This is a nice little hotel in a great location for walking to all of London's city centre attractions. I would call it a more of a guest house than a hotel personally. Rooms are nice with all amenities e.g telly, en suite and t/coffee and they are very nicely decorated and clean (as is the rest of the hotel)...

The welcome was lovely and friendly, the hotel clean and quiet, my single room was very comfortable - I would happily stay again! This was a refreshing change to Premier Inn which is very efficient, but bland and impersonal - to be shown to my room and have my luggage carried up the stairs was great service. Recommended....... :)

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more   less
