The Hotel is pretty central, only 10 minutes walk from St. Pancras/King's Cross mainline Stations, and is uite easily reached by Underground, too. Check-in to the converted Townhouse was quick and efficient, and due to the nature of the building, the rooms were somewhat quirky in their layout. The restaurant served good cooked breakfasts. My only issue is that despite...

I had stayed in the Harlingford Hotel years ago and remembered it to be a cosy, family run hotel in a great location. On this occasion I was with my husband and two teenage boys and the location of the hotel suited us perfectly being so close to Russell Square and the Picadilly line as well as Kings Cross Station...

We were in London for a concert plus a couple of days sightseeing. This converted Georgian Townhouse in a quiet street in Bloomsbury proved to be very conveniently located. It's less than 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross/ St Pancras so useful if you're arriving from Kings Cross and and handy for the tube, though Russell Square is actually the...

I stay at the Harlingford regularly - mainly on business but occasionally for short breaks in London. It is conveniently located for King's Cross and, although the rooms are small, it is comfortable and reasonably priced for London. The staff are always helpful and welcoming and the breakfasts are excellent with plenty of choice, including homemade Bircher muesli. It is...

I stayed in for only one night. I was delighted from the outside, but the inside is one of these boutique hotels with tiny rooms for a rather high price. The reception desk reminded me of a simple information desk (what it has too be as well, of course, but there was little athmosphere coming from these people. Breakfast was...

I've stayed at this hotel a number of times, primarily because of its convenience for the British Library. Yes, the single rooms are not large - but I've never understood why people want oceans of space to go to sleep in. The breakfast is good, the rooms clean - though perhaps the attractive refurb of a few years ago is...

This is our second stay at the Harlingford, which we found through a colleague's recommendation. Last year, we had to stay on the very top floor, which was a challenge with our luggage and no lift but the room, though small, was very pleasant and clean. The water pressure was not the best, but everything was lovely and we were...

This is not an establishment I would ever want to stay in again. The atmosphere was tless than welcoming. I had stayed in the hotel next door in the late nineties and enjoyed my stay on that occasion. This hotel unlike most of the others in this charming Georgian crescent does'nt bother with such niceties as hanging baskets of flowers...

Harlingford, Manager at Harlingford Hotel, responded to this review

I did question whether to respond to this strange review but as there are so many inaccuracies it seemed important to clarify the situation. This guest set off the fire alert system by heavy smoking in her room, when I told her this was a no smoking hotel she replied that there is no sign in the room, I pointed...

Small room, very simple. But very nice, personnels took care of us (tv was not working, they changed it asap). Good breakfast at the main floor (not in the basement, as seen somewehere else in London). We were there during the tube strike, we went to covent garden by walking slowly, just 20 minutes.

One of the better hotels on Cartwright Gdns. Clean, comfortable, good location, spacious breakfast room, however rumbling sound from Tube (subway) very evident in Suite 2 on lower ground flower, also some street traffic noise until 11:00pm. Recommended if can avoid noise issues. Richard Canada

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
