Wonderful place with a great place! The staff was so nice and helpful. We tried to get tickets for the broadway show"Michael Jackson" that was showing in the West End. They were sold out, but the manager called in a favor and got us tickets. I felt that was going beyond what he had to do. It was very nice.

This hotel is a total rip off for the price paid and it's a shame to the 5 star they claim. A single room for two nights was booked and paid in my name. The booking highlighted that it was a 16sqm room. Fine. The key was given and the porter guided me to my room on the lower ground... More

Having read some of the other reviews I find myself in disagreement with several of them. This is a boutique hotel so it is bound to be different to a large hotel. It is clearly converted from a town house in Cumberland Place and opposite the very large sister hotel Montcalm at Marble Arch, the wide variety of facilities at... More

Dear Jan M, Thank you so much for this constructive and incredibly detailed review! I have just returned home from my first trip to London were my son's and family wanting to spoil me. They decided they wanted somewhere special to stay so choose this hotel. Second stay at this hotel.Chosen mostly for location.Rooms are tiny.We received a complImentary upgrade from a deluxe room to a premier club room.Size is exactly the same, except you have lounge access. But the lounge is so dismal, not worth paying for. Poor breakfast buffet presentation, sloppy service at breakfast by staff. Beds, linens and towels very luxurious, lovely rainshower over the bath,we prefer a separate... More

We booked a ‘secret hot rate hotel’ in central London through hotwire.com and when the name was revealed we found it was this hotel. The booking was made around a month in advance and the price at approximately 150 pounds per night was very reasonable for central London. On the positive side, the location is excellent, being a few blocks... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
