A very nice stay with good sized rooms and comfortable beds. Great location diagonally across from the tube station and plenty of places to eat nearby, as well as supermarkets and convenience stores. Only downside was the entrance doors to the hotel which are very heavy, and the steps when lugging heavy suitcases.

Stayed for one night in a Superior Queen room that I got for what I thought was a decent rate (relative to the other rates being offered by comparable places). Best feature is how close it is to the Gloucester Rd station -- no more than half a block away (you can see the hotel's red flags from the station)....

We stayed six nights in an executive king room. The room was plenty big enough for two, and we didn't exactly pack light. Full disclosure, I believe the bed was two singles joined together. This in no way impacted comfort however. There's a small bar and separate restaurant which can cover all meals. Both were nice and reasonably priced. We...

We stayed in a Superior Queen room, and the room was surprisingly small. I had low expectations with respect to size, however I still found it uncomfortably small. Room was in very clean condition, so that was good. Service was a bit hit and miss. Upon check-in the staff was friendly and welcoming. However at other times staff were unfriendly...

The hotel is 2 minutes from Gloucester road underground station. But it is in a quiet street. There are a lot of nice restaurants around the area. The restaurant inside the hotel is also nice for breakfast and dinner. It is not far from Royal Albert Hall, V&A museum and Harrods. The hotel is nice, warm and friendly. Very good...

I spent four nights at this hotel while in London for meetings. The location is outstanding -- an easy walk to major museums (including the V&A) and to Hyde Park and Kensington Palace, and only a few steps away from the Gloucester Road Tube station, where you can hop onto the Piccaddilly, District, and Central Lines. There's also a large-ish...

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband while visiting London. We got a free upgrade to a suite as my husband had emailed ahead to advise it was our wedding anniversary. We also received a complementary plate of fruit for this which was a nice touch. The suite was nice just small, but what you would expect for central...

This is a really nice hotel and have now stayed here a few times. Ideally located for Gloucester Road tube, and a nice location in its own right. We found the staff helpful, the room was immaculate and nicely decorated, and the breakfasts were enjoyable and had what we needed. Only criticism would be the bar prices -far too high...

I stayed here with my boyfriend in June 2016 for the Queens Birthday weekend. Hotel is beside Gloucester Tube Station which can take you most places in London. This is also a nice tube station for a beginner to the tubes as it isn't overly busy. The room was small but this is expected for London. I would defiantly stay...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
