The room was old and the wall paper was falling off... The only good thing is the location... More

We went to London for my birthday on 15/10/16, We were given room 120 which was clearly a renovated staff room with no privacy whatsoever, it had a window on the bedroom door which was clearly visible to look though and a sticker that said 120 and my girlfriend went to the bathroom where she was able to open the... Weird staff. Would not let you check in early. I tried at 1.45pm but was told to come back at 3. I came back at 2.45pm then could check in but the room was not ready. What do they do all morning, since check out is at 10am? Are they only employed to start making the rooms up at 2pm??... More

Do not stay here!!! Filthy stairway. Keycards wouldn't work! NO BED CLOTHES, just sheets...Sorry none available!!! Broken bed. Grey small towel. Curtains hanging off rail.Shower sprayed water all over bathroom, nothing to dry floor with. Can only be described as a doss house. American guest incandessant with rage at the awfulness of the place.

After all the bad reviews I was a bit concerned about staying here. As described the hotel is in pretty bad shape. I had an ensuite which was clean but pretty battered - floor tiles loose, shower door required a curtain as well. The room itself was clean but lacked in places to hang clothes, TV had no remote and... More

4 floors and no lift. All the hotel in desperate need of refurbishment. In room 116 only 1 ceiling spot light working, stained shower cubicle, and the hair dryer not working. No coffee / tea facilities. Asked the receptionist to book a taxi on departure, and I got a (private?) car where I was charged £13 minimum fee (it would... More

We booked private room with private bathroom. Location is great, and that is all that is worth mentioning, it's less than 5 min to Oxford street. Couldn't open window in our room, blanket was dirty.. However, staff members are pleasant and friendly.

It's really expensive for the service and ammenities. The bed had this weird inclination so we had to sleep upside down, the electricity burned one of our chargers, the door lock didn't work and the water was cold. It's not even in a good location. You can get better options for less in better places.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
