If you looking for a comfortable bed to sleep on, this is NOT the hotel to choose. Nothing but thin fabric between you and bear springs. Most uncomfortable night, until I slept on reception lounge. Staff ignored my request to swap mattress. Be warned, check out the bed first before you confirm your booking. This hotel is also not maintained,...

Not the most luxurious hotel in London but not the most expensive either! Hotel is generally tired but acceptable, a fair price for a hotel in London. We had a superior room (406) which was a good size but unfortunately there is a ventilation duct outside the window which was noisy all night, went off at about 7am finally -...

It was in a great locations and totally served it's purpose. We were there with 34 kids for a School vacation trip. The staff was awesome. took care of us any time we needed it. the rating is for the hotel itself. I've never stayed in any other London hotels as this was out first time but the rooms were...

great location. Easy access to two tube stations. Quiet area only minutes from shops, restaurants etc. area very nice, lovely old houses. Got a reasonable rate for two night stay, given location. Hotel itself not a 3 star in my opinion, very basic. Shower small, no bath, wash hand basin in bedroom, holes in grouting, carpet frayed, blinds torn, old...

6-7 minutes walkable distance to the nearest tube station. Very helpful staffs. I expected my room for 2 to be pretty small but no, i was wrong. Fairly clean and well taken care of. Quiet remote area. Food is everywhere, particularly Halal cuisines if you are looking for some from Malaysian to American.

This was a let minute booking , but when we got there , they had no sign of the booking. They had me ring up and around to get reference numbers etc but still they had problems. In the end I got the room at the same rate. Average front desk staff. The room was old and tired , bit...

Umi hotel is quiet and comfy and a big room by London standards. The staff very helpful and the coffee was great. The bathroom was clean and the water was hot. The tube station is a short walk. Great place to stay. They provide tea and coffee and tv for comfort and a handy map of things to do. Great...

I stayed here for three nights prior to starting a topdeck trip. The hotel is quite old. Steps are creaky, floor is uneven everywhere. Bathrooms cramped. However overall its not a bad place to stay if all you need is a bed and shower. Staff were quite helpful though.

i went here for a college trip and we had 4 rooms of 4. These rooms had bunkbeds when we were 19-35 years old. Each room had something wrong with them, for example the one i was in had a shower which was either scolding hot or freezing cold. Breakfast was a complete rip off, £7 per person per day...

Stayed here for two nights. The reception team were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very dated and basic, if you get a good rate then you are getting what you pay for. Felt safe and the room was clean. Great location

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
