Spent 3 days here at the start of our Uk holiday with 3 couples. Rooms are clean and tidy but a little small. All staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. On off buses at the front door, good pub a block up called The Swan

Best place to stay in London when on a business trip. Clean sheet. Quiet rooms. Close to public transport. Opposite Hyde Park (ideal for the morning run). Affordable. Lots of plug points. Breakfast buffet is average and boring.

I have just stayed here for a trade show on Saturday & Sunday night. Have to admit first impressions not great as did not like having to take the lift from the street to reception. Reception staff were very pleasant apart from one guy who worked on Sunday morning when we enquired about a cab was quite irritated when I...

The hotel was well situated across the Hyde Park and near the Underground station. Had no trouble finding the hotel by walking from the Paddington Railway station even though It was our first time in the city. We were happy to discover that the hotel is situated above a gas station with a 24h open store which saved us money...

Dear KaaloFin, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at Thistle Kensington Gardens. We do have an enviable location incredibly close to several transport links and the London Underground. It was also great that you could take advantage of the Waitrose 24hr convenience store located under the hotel. I certainly hope we can welcome...

I stayed for one night, due to work commitments and will definitely be back again! The hotel is easy to fine, central and very close to Queensway tube station. I can't fault the people on reception, they were very efficient at both checking me in and out. Whilst checking me out, it was a Friday and insisted on having a...

And I'm really pleased you got the opportunity to enjoy our breakfast buffet - that and a crunchie; what a great way to start a Friday! I hope we can...

The hotel itself is really nicely decorated inside, the rooms are well quipped and have a personalised touch with brilliant views. If asked definitely get a room on the 9th floor for the views across the city. The staff were wonderfully friendly, and it's only small things but they were attentive when checking in and checking out and as I...

Dear posy1991, Your 5/5 review was much appreciated, thank you. I am delighted you enjoyed your stay and that the team looked after you. Great tip about requesting a high floor, and whilst we cannot always guarantee it, the views over Hyde Park are fantastic. Thanks again for your review, and hopefully we will welcome you back soon. Stayed over a weekend and was happy with my stay. The staff was friendly, both at check-in and fast check-out. The bar downstairs was decent and the room was small, but clean and OK. Very good location!

Thistle Kensington was the first hotel in our tour of the UK and Ireland. We came in a day earlier than the tour, and I emailed the hotel to ask if there was any way we could be booked into the same room we'd use at the start of our tour (so we could enjoy the free morning without having...

Stayed here for 3 nights in July. Stayed in Thistle Hyde Park in March which in July is out of our price range. Kensington Gardens is more contemporary whereas Hyde Park is more traditional - prefer the latter but that is just a personal view. Staff all efficient & helpful & a good breakfast with plenty of choice. Reasonable sized...

Many thanks to the Thistle Kensington Gardens, and especially to Concetta and Laura for saving our vacation.
