For a 4 start hotel this is overpriced and not worth the money. The beds are uncomfortable and the overall experience was not one I enjoyed for my birthday weekend. The original price for the room was expensive however treated myself and my partner to later find out this was excluding breakfast at £12 pp per day (for two £24...

Dear Ryan, Thank for choosing our Hotel recently and for your feedback. I must admit that this is a comment we receive rarely, our beds are very comfortable and created especially for us. We do have a very dedicated Rapid Response Team happy to assist our guests with any request 24/7. I am very sorry to read your feedback on...

This hotel was in a very nice area and close to the tube station and the Natural History Museum. The rooms were smaller than expected and looked on the photos but they were extremely clean, well decorated and comfortable. I would stay again. The staff were friendly and the bar area was lovely.

Really nice location situated close to tube station. The reception area is clean and spacious with plenty of staff on hand. Rooms clean and modern. Breakfast had a very good selection of food on offer ranging from fresh fruit, cereals, continental, and cooked. Didn't have time to use many other facility's but would stop here again.

Had a disappointing start to our stay, I had booked though Super-brakes on a deal for the weekend two nights and dinner - great price and well worth checking your options though super-brakes as they also give vouchers for during your stay. However when I booked Super-brakes confirmed that we could have a double room even though the deal was...

Lovely hotel, stayed in a club room which was large and comfortable. All staff were very friendly. Good breakfast selection. The only let down was the terrible spa, we booked as a group of 8 ladies on a hen party and planned to use the 'relaxing tranquil spa' Friday afternoon. The 'spa' had very loud children's swimming lessons going on...

Terribly small room. Paper thin walls. I'm not sure this hotel realises we are not in the dark ages any more with their compulsory tip / service charge on everything you purchase - is this type of policy sustainable in this day and age! WiFi charge extortionate -

A mixed bag. On the plus side, the public areas and bars etc are very nice and comfortable. The staff were all pleasant and welcoming. The spa and health club was very good as well. On the downside, the bedroom I was in, although well appointed , would have been better in a doll's house rather than a self-styled four star...

As a regular visitor to London, I have my own favourites and usual fallbacks as far as hotels are concerned. But this time, they were either full or had unappealing rates. Thus my attention turned to the Kensington Close, for my first stay here. I'm happy to say it was a good choice. The hotel is clean, the staff are...

Stayed for one night for a weekend "up in town" for a family birthday. We had an executive room as these come with free wi-fi. I had read other reviews about room size as well and thought this would be a decent size. It was not very big! Not at all. We were perfectly comfy but I did think that...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
